Tonshor you've barely argued anything in this thread you've just been getting s-----y that no one else agrees with you. All you've used for a counter argument is claim Biggie has '4-5 great songs' and not elaborated any further.

If you listen to Ready to Die and conclude Biggie only has 4-5 great songs, your opinion is invalid.

Been in NY all my life and even back in grade school I still remember my older relatives/friends debate endlessly over Nas vs Jay. Hot 97 used talk about that beef 24/7, Nas will always be my favorite rap artist but Hov ain't far behind.

That beef was the best beef in hip hop history. I remember the specials on MTV and BET during that time frame, and how it was projected on local radio stations. I wish I was in NY during that beef, it must've been incredible.

I used to love Hot 97 back in the day. They used to have something called, battle of the beat. Something like that where they would play beefs and people would call in and vote on who won. Also used to play new artists albums the day before they came out...ah the good ole days

Obviously didn't get to listen to Hot 97, but I remember watching Freestyle Fridays on BET, and it being a big deal at school on Mondays to who won.

I really wish I got to listen to Hot 97. It was always mentioned in f---ing songs or in interviews on MTV/BET lol. I got stuck with Kix106

Then it was the "All New Hot 106" for like 10 years lmao.

Embarrassing story. When Em came out and My Name is was all over MTV I thought he was terrible. Then Hot 97 did the new artist thing with him the night before SSLP came out and they played the whole thing. I bought it next day, became a stan, joined rap forums and now I'm here. Thanks Hot97\

LOL what's funny about Eminem was I heard about him like 4 months prior to My Name Is.

One of my friends used to be huge into the underground scene, and he told me about Eminem and how he was white and crazy.

I saw My Name Is and thought he was a Backstreet Boy, right off the bat. I didn't even listen to the song at all... I just wrote him off. This was around the time that Red and m--- dropped, and DMX was killing it, so I thought Eminem was corny... Then my boy was like DID YOU LISTEN TO SLIM SHADY LP YET!?? I was like lol no, why would I, I don't like boy bands... He's like, you idiot, that's the crazy white dude I told you about.... Then I bought the tape and was like holy s---, this dude is nasty...

Probably more embarrassing lol

Another embarrassing story.

I remember back when I was a little Fitz, like 6-7 years old with hardly any parental guidance, I used to watch MTV and was into all the s--- back then, maybe back in 91-92... And I was a fan of Dre and Snoop, LL Cool J, Kriss Kross (rofl) etc...

Then like a year later, I saw Ed Lover and Dr. Dre on TV, and was like OMG DRE GOT FAT WHAT HAPPENED?

True story rofl.
