    A part of me thinks people think this album is so great because it's so layered sonically and thematically. I see that as one of its main problems.

    The album became convoluted, and seemed forced at parts, something I would never say about GKMC.

    I'm sorry but that Pac interview at the end was one of Kendrick's biggest reaches as an artist.

    Tpab definitely deserves the top spot

    as far as the other albums are concerned, #2-20 are not hip hop albums imo, the rock genre delivered some of the best albums this year

    But the thing is, the emotional arcs aren't exactly arcs, in the sense they don't try to convey a certain feeling.. he contradicts himself on the record multiple times which is what makes it so intriguing to me. I wonder if he did that intentionally, i'm inclined to believe he did.
