    This album grw on me a lot... to the point when I had a similar reaction than Waka Flocka Flame

    1. I don't like it
    2. few months alter I relisten to it and it clicks: I consider it as a genius body of work


    I can safely say that I don't even give a f--- about kendrick's previous work anymore

    It's a hollow point. It's like declaring blue isn't your favorite color. It doesn't effect actual critical input on the work.

    Well yeah obv, that doesn't change that it did have an impact to some degree and one's personal enjoyment of the record still isn't a good way to critique an album

    The album is #2 on BME, behind GRIME

    but overall, it has more #1 than any other album this year..

    TPAB - 122 pnts
    Courtney - 72 pnts

    It's not "Unreasonable"... But IDLSIDGO hasn't been named the contender for AOTY across multiple genres like TPAB has
    yes, but Kendrick did not fall off with TPAB at all..

    meh.. I feel like I have heard gkmc a lot more, but tpab is a much better album, imo.

    I'd say gkmc is more accessible but tpab is head and shoulders above it, the way kendrick udnerstands music on tpab is incredibly different. As a musician, I can only respect the work he put in on that album... on gkmc, s--- sounds a lot more basic with a lot of musical mistakes.

    I don't think so. Music is about feeling and all that s--- so its normal to rank an album that you personally enjoy higher than another but anybody with serious musical knowledge has aknowledged TPAB as a better album than GKMC.

    as far as I'm concerned, tpab is in a league of its own, it even makes gkmc sounds like a mixtape.
