Hey guys, it's been quite a while since our last Mixtape Club, which ended up not having any real conclusion due to lack of interest, however, after some inspiration from @Ordinary Joel and @able, I have decided to bring back Mixtape Club, but we're gonna do things a little different this time around.

Instead of giving you guys a theme and making a theme out of it, we're turning this little club into an exchange, where one member will tell you what mixtape they want you to make, however, because this is Secret Santa, the person you're making your mixtape for has no idea who you are, and vice versa.

So, how are we doing this whole thing? Well, if you fill out this handy Google form, we can get started.

Now, I will only be keeping the Google form up until the 8th, so fill it out ASAP. After the 8th, I will either e-mail or message you who you will be giving your mixtape to, and the necessary information.

Try to keep who you're giving your tape to private until the 25th, when everyone will publicly reveal their tapes and who they gave them to. However, you can send in your tape early to the person you're supposed to prior in private.

Let's lay down some final rules:

-Tapes should be around an hour. So anywhere between 50-70 minutes should do, unless your partner specifies that he/she wants a different limit.
-Album covers are encouraged when posting your final tape on the 25th, but not necessary. Same goes for solo names.
-No music made by yourself.

For my mixtape, I got @Charlie Strangelove who requested to get into some of my favorite artists. Now, not all of these are artists I've entirely dug into, but a majority of them are ones I love. I figured out pretty quickly that I wouldn't be able to fit any rap into my playlist (unless you count Young Fathers), so apologies if I didn't get around to that. However, I did try my best to fit in some of your favorite genres/preferences like female vocalists, math rock, singer/songwriter, noise rock, and art pop. I'm not very good at describing this as it doesn't really have a defined concept, but please enjoy he used to laugh the loudest, not it never shows!

Also another special thanks to @Ordinary Joel for taking over this project for me! I'll just be honest and say I get lazy/uninspired very easily with certain projects of mine (I still haven't finished by top 25 on here, for example, but if you wanna know, #3 is now Lil Ugly Mane - Oblivion Access, #2 is Björk - Vulnicura, and #1 is obviously Kendrick Lamar - To p---- a Butterfly), so I'm really happy Joel was able to take this over and turn it out to be something great! Hopefully next year we get more people to participate!

In general, thank you to anyone who chose to participate in this event!

So, it seems like I'm the first person who would post a mixtape in this thread. First of all, Merry Christmas to everyone, enjoy it with your families and have a great time. Dont eat too much because you will get fat and nobody would want you.

The special wishes goes to @MTY who I made a special mixtape for. I hope you enjoy it man even though the theme isnt very happy. I didnt spend millions hours while preparing it, but I think the whole thing is pretty organized and some songs will definitely stay in your mind for a while. Share your thoughts when you get to listen to this.

So first of all. Merry Christmas @Radeem. May great things happen for you for years to come and i hope you can consider yourself a happy man. I know we have quite the different opinions and taste on occassion but i wanted to try and do my best with this one. Hope you'll enjoy the setup and the flow of this playlist, there's certainly some thought put in the sequencing as well. I made this mixtape in iTunes but to save my uploads I also made it on Youtube.

Anyways it's titled Rue (aka when you're rueful/regretful). I tailored the playlist to tell a story (tl ; dr - young man grows up without father, appreciates mother, finds girlfriend, a song from the girl's perspective, suspicions growing, crime committed, behind bars, remorse/rueful and then reflection).

Since I had no one to do Secret Santa with me I did what any tragic would and gave it tomyself. Forever alone.

Everybody's mixtapes look great.

I sent mine to @ThyNeighbour a little earlier via PM, but I'll share it here also so you guys can see what I made and just in case you guys want to check some of it out yourselves.



ThyNeighbour wanted music that bumps hard in the whip which also has excellent production and good lyrics. He was also happy with it consisting of both old and new songs.

I have to admit, when it comes to music that Bumps in the Whip I'm not the most knowledgable person, but I was still able to compile a few songs that I would consider being good to bump in the whip. Hopefully it is enjoyable.

It's about that time of the year again so first & foremost I wanna wish ya'll a merry christmas! I was assigned to create a mixtape for the homie @PoshP and the concept was to create a tape full of positive/meaningful rap songs that had that jazzy/soulful vibe to it. Hip-hop has a special way of getting emotions across and the lyrics & production always find a way to reach you, so I'm glad you picked a great & fitting theme for the tape; a lot of these songs are personal favorites.
