Anyone know of a way to change it so iTunes calculates plays not just on 100% completed songs, but also counts partial plays? It can be with scripts, anything. I'll figure it out if there's a way and a decent breakdown of how to.

I just know at the moment the only way iTunes counts a play is if the song is 100% completed, but I usually skip stuff towards the end or in the middle, even though I like the songs, I just jump around a lot and switch songs as one ends. I need iTunes to count partial plays, or even just any song I hit play on. It pretty much defeats my smart playlists for Daily, Monthly, All-Time and Weekly stats if it's not counting all these songs and I can't seem to find an answer anywhere for it.

Right click on song > Options > End Time - put in the time you want.

I do this all the time.

Also if you have a song that has 2 tracks in it but like a 30 second gap between songs:

    1. Right click on song
    2. End Time: Put the time the first track ends.
    3. Right click and select create AAC (default mp4 format, you can change it to mp3 in itunes preferences also but ya)
    4. It will create the track cut to the time you want.
    5. Go to original copy, edit Start time as time the second track starts, end time as the time the second track ends (usually the default end time)
    6. Right click, create AAC (mp3 whatever)
    7. BOOM you got 2 separate tracks without that bull s--- 30 seconds between them.

EDIT: This was suppose to be a multi quote post but didn't work lol.
