yeh but he doesn't own a factory by my knowledge :dno:

His 'star'/fame leverage isn't that big considering his contract legally binds him to let Adidas control the main (limits of) branding, exclusivity and pricing of his clothes...

It's not that hard to figure out mate :rockynotimpressed:

for someone that has no idea about these things it is hard to figure out lol. But he's pretty wealthy, right? Couldn't he buy a factory? or hire one to create his clothing line? then to promote it all he'd have to do is a twitter rant about how nike and adidas h8 him, so he's going solo. In my head that would work well for him

To own a factory would mean you'd have to know how to build one (because no sane Capitalist would like to publicize their secret recipe of how to dominate the high and low fashion market), it would mean you'd have to find enough skilled workers who would obey any and every order, it would mean you'd need a special team of engineers, managers, salesman and marketeers to keep the empire running smoothly it would mean you'd need enough wealth to f--- up a few times because you're a brand new company.. it would mean you'd need a solid deal with locals to buy their resources cheap.. you'd need lots of contacts and networks with the industry itself to outwit or outdeal your competitors in your favor...

all this infrastructure takes knowledge, money and time.. something an afro-american who has never really been close to working with the fashion industry could never achieve on his own merit, genius knowledge and starpower :wow5:

I think he loves working with adidas and just let them control the prices while he doesn't really care. He cares more about making good shoes than making accessible shoes.

    No. :kdotrly:

He has said clearly and on multiple occasions and in different ways that all he's trying to do is to: open up the high-end fashion market and democratize its pricing so that more people can enjoy goodlooking quality clothing that'll last and be enjoyable for a lifetime.

All of this makes sense yeah, but then I start thinking about like... Have you ever been to a local market? I've seen hippy people sell their own hand-made clothing and accessories and s--- there. These are like local people too that live in normal people houses, not rich. (ofc, it would be a lot different, for example there would be WAY less supply of the 'local market clothes' compared to companies like nike/adidas) But I don't see why it's not possible for someone in his position to do the same? The demand would be higher than supply, so that's kinda good too and everyone would hear about it and call him revolutionary and a game-changer in the fashion industry.

But he's not even solely focussing on fashion.. he thinks design is the way to the future so he includes interior/exterior architecture as well as product design and many other forms..

he's hiring staff that'll help him accomplish this goal along the way and his interviews are basically marketing speeches to find and trigger the most talented artists from each respected field and get them to apply for a job at his (future envisioned) firm or help him achieve that vision...

    :wow5:
