Jan 16, 2016 39 tracks lol 99% of these are unfinished works in progress and it's all from 2014-2015, but yeah This is basically everything worth posting from the past two years that hasn't bene released. Fair warning: it's all pretty much edm/dubstepish, and the sound quality on most of my old production But anyways, enjoy it while u wait for P. L. C. T. Y., ask questions, laugh at it all etc. Idgaf Also, a bonus, here's this s--- from my RPG 'The Void' that i never finished, and if anyone wants, I can upload the little version i put together to test the music and screens I made for it (title screen cool af) Spoiler @CreativeSXN @CyreidesSXN @Feedback
Jan 16, 2016 lemme know what you think of any of it. i'd absolutely love to talk about this old s--- since i thought pretty much no one would ever hear it after it was all scrapped
Jan 16, 2016 Give me like a day or 2 to get through them all, and I'll pm you. So far I've heard The End, Angel, and Just Breathe. How old were you when you made these tracks? The drums on just breathe are f---ing dope, and the synth of The End is crazy powerful. I'm impressed af
Jan 16, 2016 Thanks man and uh, well, i mean these were just in the last two years so I was either 20 or 21 haha
Jan 16, 2016 Hahaha, makes sense. Cause the sound design is really dope, synths are really, I guess intense. Idk how else to describe what I mean. They have a ton of character and depth to them
Jan 16, 2016 i always liked the little breakdowns on The End like :56-1:10. It's actually (if I remember correctly) two synths coming together as those breaks happen, but also the part directly after that is great imo. I produced the track right after having seen X-Men:DoFP most of the tracks from Anti are pretty intense like that tho couple more i would personally recommend would be Raven (in the 2015 folder) and On Edge (Anti). Raven was a brief attempt at trying to recreate the sound I had on Anti (it's probably actually the newest thing in this .zip, I think I made it half way through Autumn Storm), and On Edge has one of my favorite builds that I've done. Really cinematic sounding i think
Jan 16, 2016 a lot of this was also meant to have vocals @Purspective, but this was back during a time when I couldn't pick up features at all
Jan 16, 2016 I'll definitely check those right now, stoked as h--- if you say they're anything like the tracks I just heard. Side Note: Did you have the title Anti before Rihanna?? If so, thats hilarious, and dope af, hahaha. About the vocals thing: Well I think theres definitely tracks in here with a TON of potential, you should try and get some features now that you're a little more established. I'm liking what I hear already in the few tracks I've heard, so I'm sure theres a couple more gems in there. If you ever need any rap vocals, I'm always down, haha
Jan 16, 2016 i'd also possibly recommend the title track Anti (I still love that this is a reworked version of the album Intro). the f---ing strings on there, especially one the final build ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh literally, if I don't ever end up redoing any of these songs and releasing them, I'm going to make a new track around that part yeah haha, Anti was 2014. it was originally called Descend and then at one point I changed the name (can't remember why). it was all scrapped for The Coldest Winter (like Just Breathe EP was for Autumn Storm) if i ever get around to doing something with these and want to recreate the album up to par with my current stuff I'd either have to change it back or pick a new name. fml i would, but so much is unfinished and i was so inexperienced compared to now. the most I knew about automating then was really just used for stuff like wobble basses and volume and a couple effects. i'd have to redo anything from these tracks before I'd even consider putting them out
Jan 16, 2016 Strings at the very end of On Edge were crazy, they sounded like a horror movie. Like, I was being stalked by the killer in a horror movie, lol. I'll check out Anti now. Ahahaha thats actually awesome. Do you still have these sessions? If they're not too cluttered (I've had that issue a ton of times before, lol), you could always go back and try and re do them a bit? Makes a lot of sense actually, but if you do end up re-doing some stuff, theres definitely some ideas there worth working on
Jan 16, 2016 haha, all the stuff from Anti was suppose to be pretty dark like that. i still have the FLPs for everything I've ever done actually it's just that I've tried going back before, and every time I do, I can't get the elements to sit right in the song and I end up making a lot of the mixes worse most of the time and it forces me to give up. It'd honestly be easier to just sort through and take the best parts/notes and redo them from scratch in a new FLP where I can pick synths and drums that mesh better together from the get go (which is why most of the stuff I do now is 100xs better). I didn't quite have the same ear for my selections as I do now, way less mixing required at this point because of that
Jan 16, 2016 Bruh you never fail to disappoint I've been thinking of putting a beat tape together or starting work on an instrumental LP
Jan 16, 2016 I output so much material I might as well lol The question is whether to make all new s--- for it or just have one compiled of beats that are already out
