I was pretty heavy into Drake back when he wasn't so much of a big deal. Enjoyed the mixtapes and everything. I liked it because it felt really fresh and new to me and he could rap. Looking back it feels weird considering the superstar he is today.
What if I kiiiiissed you riiight now ?
I don't even know where that s--- came from, I just found it on youtube back then and it perfectly suited my desire
to get with that girl in class I hadn't even started dating yet.
That being said, he is starting to bore me. I don't think I even made it through every song on If you're reading this, it's too late. Too busy checking out other new albums. The beats and subject matters are getting repetitive. Energy was terrible to me. And please stop with that accent. To my canadian friends, I love y'all but don't be doing any southern-american accent. You've had health care for a long time now, be proud of it. Kidding guys. It's the subject matter and the repetitive song formats that are starting to bore me. He's just talking about the same boring things in different ways
From time is still my favourite Drake song of all time. That was well executed. He should be doing more s--- like this.
That being said he will still be relevant for a good time. He has a hand for picking appealing beats to the masses and creating good pop joints. Also there's the Meek Drama which boosted the anticipation for Views. Pretty childish but hey Meek started it so.
