its greatness was never doubted, s--- is classic.

But like someone else said, it's more for those who are familiar with music from the african diaspora. Kendrick brought us through the streets in GKMC, but TPAB does something even more impressive...With strong influences of soul, bebop jazz, r&b, p-funk, and all sub-categories of hip-hop, Kendrick has essentially made an amalgam of the beautiful art to be created throughout African-American history. It is a love letter to Black Culture and where it is today.

Thats easily one of my favorite albums.

I think if you have a certain knowledge & appreciation of all different types of music,& sounds you'll fully understand why its his best in his discography

as for his enjoyability, its not more or less enjoyable than gkmc, both albums were made for different audiences, but theres no doubt in my mind that tpab is his best work

I fell in love with it when I started to fall in love with funkadelik.

Now I regularly play it front to back and its non-skippable.

I absolutely love the album and play it more than GKMc which I thought was a good/great album.

For real, one of the best albums of the decade, in any genre. As far as I'm concerned, this is the only kendrick album I really enjoy (OD too but its more like a mixtape)

That's true. Sonically it is restless, exploring cosmic jazz rap, g-funk, boom bap and everything in between...I can listen to it all day long. Absolutely love it
