Since were not just a rap forum why not add a rock section? i'm sure it would be as active as like the gaming sxn for example.

Theres tons of users on here who talk about rock like @Soldier @Charlie @JG2 @Bleed @Cyreides and a s--- ton more I feel like we would have way more rock discussion if there was a section for it. This would actually get me to post outside of OT.

There should at least be a sticky for it in the music sxn like we do for NSFW. in OT.

@Help can you consider this ?

Why don't we have a _____ SXN?

This question has been answered many times. Start an official thread, and if it's active enough you have a case for a section. As it stands, most rock discussion is scattered and inconsistent. Threads always die. You're happy to try yourself.

just seeing the section will cause people to make threads

I'll get to adding prefixes to old threads over the next few days to make it easier for members.

It'll be worth it.

We don't need sub-sections just make a prefix. [Other Genres] or [Non Hip-Hop]. These prefixes would be used for threads. When you click on the prefix next to a title it'll sort out all the threads with that prefix.

It'll basically be a pseudo-section.

Pretty sure you're joking, but either way these kind of points would be brought up every now and then if we added a 'rock' section so that's why I think it should just be 1 section for rap, and another section (or subsection) for all other music.

i kinda don't even see sectioneighty as a music forum even though the common interest we all have is rap music
the "music, sports, culture" approach is more the direction i think we represent cause we have a variety of different users

i'm not in favor of either. i don't like sxntags, and 1 sticky isn't a good idea, because there's a wide variety of artists/groups under any 1 genre and there's going to be bitching back and forth about what's REAL ____ music in the thread because of it, and s---'s still gonna get buried in a thread that encompasses ALL of whatever genre it is

well it seemed to be because subsections always fail and the already existing rock thread gets no activity.

but how are we supposed to get an official rock/other genres thread poppin if it gets buried under all the rap threads being made daily

the discussion is scattered and inconsistent because all the people looking for rock threads cant find them because in the music sxn. They get buried under the hundreds of rap threads.
