Apr 11, 2016 Relapse - Underground/Beautiful/Insane Recovery - Untitled MMLP2 - Baby The real question is, why doesn't he give us more? On Untitled, he raps "Every flow, got it mastered So every last word That you f--s heard, Comes straight from the fish's a--- In other words I'm a bass turd" Which makes me believe he simply doesn't want to rap like that. Just odd. There are other examples, the warning obviously and even parts of that despicable freestyle. Just odd IMO. And while every album has a different "sound" his delievery was much of the same from 98-2003 which is why people called him such a dominate act in rap. It was crisp as f---. Now it just seems scattered and off beat... Just odd.
Apr 11, 2016 Idk I guess he just doesn't want to. He can still do it. Just look at his live performances
Apr 11, 2016 Baby and maybe beautiful are the only songs he mentioned that aren't bad. I get what he means with Insane/Underground tho
Apr 11, 2016 Groundhog Day, Evil Twin, Brainless,, for MMLP2 Recovery has like, So Bad, Almost Famous, Ridaz and Untitled Relapse has s--- loads of tracks with the classic Slim Shhady sound, Relapse is underrated most of the time by fans.
Apr 11, 2016 yeah but that's all it takes to sound like his classic sound? lol beautiful is a lot more pop/anthemic/PG than anything he did in his prime
Apr 11, 2016 You guys are all f---ing wrong lol. Nothing on Recovery sounds like classic Em, it's all melodramatic anthemic pop with forced punchlines and hoarse off-key screaming and yelling. Maybe Going Through Changes is the only exception. Relapse had a couple I guess with Beautiful and the bonus tracks, but the rest was accent/arabian serial killer gimmick. In all fairness though the production was right up classic Eminem alley. MMLP2 on the other hand had stuff like Brainless, Baby, Evil Twin, Bad Guy pt. 2 which had his classic sound, although the album was admittedly a sonic clusterfuck.
