Apr 14, 2016 If Drake has his way then Vybz Kartel would be featured on his upcoming album “Views From The 6.” Sources close to the incarcerated deejay told Urban Islandz that his team reached out to Vybz Kartel team for a feature. “Drake is a big fan of dancehall music and recognized that Vybz Kartel is still the best that is doing it today,” sources told us. “His producers reached out to us for a feature and we did some sampling and send back. Popcaan and Drake also did some work so we are still not sure if Vybz will end up on the album.” http://urbanislandz.com/2016/04/12/drake-wanted-to-collaborate-with-vybz-kartel-on-views-from-the-6/ goat tier level s--- if he makes the cut
Apr 14, 2016 i used to like it ten years ago you think its as good as when sean paul or elephant man were making good music?
Apr 14, 2016 An album titled after his home city is going to sound like music from Jamaica. Typical drake
Apr 14, 2016 I think as with all genres the sounds that come about with each new generation are as valid as what came before, it just usually takes until the next generation for people to realize. I'm not educated on the genre but I can definitely jam Popcaan or Vybz or older Major Lazer as much as Sean Paul for sure.
Apr 14, 2016 Ya I like the dancehall vibes but I don't want that to be the central sound of the album. Toronto is a melting pot for a lot of different cultures so I think Views will have a little bit of everything. Whether you like simp, savage, or dancehall Drizzy, I think everyone will be satisfied come the 29th.
