Apr 26, 2016 Okay last one... God this takes me back to High School. This album was so fire. Murs 3:16 Check it out, if not you better ask somebody!
Apr 26, 2016 Madvillainy is still a timeless and refreshing rap album. I'd also say Chronic 2001, mostly because when it came out there was nothing in rap that sounded quite like it. That album truly was avant-garde rap/the future when it came out. Also, without a doubt, an album that definitely sounds way ahead of its time (then again it's not 100% rap so that might be why) N*E*R*D - In Search Of...again it's not really all rap. Alternative/rap/punk, so that could be way it still sounds fresh. A lot of variety within that album.
Apr 26, 2016 Also As well as If you f--- with Digable Planets might as well move onto Shabazz Palaces - Black Up. Master Ishmael does not disappoint
Apr 26, 2016 Word? I thought all his s--- sounds very dated now. i would call them the most overrated group of all time - but no one really rates them any more... Has one great album and followed it with a barrage of s---.

Apr 26, 2016 I don't know why I keep forgetting about this album. I listened to it the other day and it still sounds amazing. Except for 21 Questions. That song is a waste of a Nate Dogg hook.
Apr 26, 2016 It's been a while since i listened to it, i think i should relistening to it since y'all are telling me it sounds outdated
Apr 26, 2016 sith lord is right to say 2001 is overrated most old heads don't even f--- with it, they think half of it = fillers

Apr 27, 2016 Very true. Between Children of the Corn and Harlem World, Mase really was one of the top rappers in that time frame. I feel like Mase was a HUGE influence on rappers like Fabolous, and even 50 Cent (with the lisp, although 50's was from gun shots). Harlem World (the album) was as pop as you could get at that time, but I felt Mase balanced it perfectly.
