It's why all these super serious "intelligent" listeners think they know more about rap and "cant understand anything future or thug says" It's literally because they are sheltered f---ing fa----s. Like we've all seen the uproar/shitstorm that was caused by thug saying "i put that crack in my crack" when in reality ANYONE who has seen or vaguely experienced this kind of lifestyle knows that stuffing drugs next to your nuts/d-ck/a------ is completely f---ing normal as police would very rarely search people there.Lil Squeed, dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl, Skippy and 9 others like this. -

So this question is for the users who think most of the rappers right now are all trash and only talk about "drugs, money, and women", think everything on the radio is awful, etc.
What is wrong with artists bragging about what they have or having a song with no clear topic? Why is it a bad thing when, for example, 2 Chainz or Thug do it but when 2Pac, Biggie, Nas, Jay Z, etc. did/do it, it was fine?
Also, why do you place so much importance into record sales? From what I read, Illmatic didn't do great numbers when it initially dropped. Does that mean the album is s---?
I really don't get it.Last edited: Apr 29, 2016Lil Squeed, dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl, mow and 4 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

"Reel rap"
The stuff thats popular here isn't my kind of music I like the beats and production a lot most of the time but that's about it
It has no redeeming features what so ever other than that and I wouldn't consider myself a fan of "reel rap" eitherJerome, King of Kings, BIGFOOT and 3 others like this. - Jul 29, 2025
