    Yeah, this is not close at all lol. Even if TPBA isn't your cup of tea, you have to respect Kendrick's ambitious effort to go and make a project like that. Drake stayed safe and put out a congested/mediocre album with some shinning moments.

    Is DJ Quik a greater authority on music than you? Does his opinion hold more weight than yours? Does what he likes and dislikes dictate what you like and dislike? Who the f--- cares what DJ Quik says.

    GKMC, Free TC, and My Krazy Life are all better west coast albums than TPAB to me.

    A lot of you are day 1 fans, or at least as old as me (meaning you started listening back when OD dropped). I can't fathom how anyone can listen to a song like b---- Don't k--- My Vibe, and then anything off of TPAB and not be a little sad.

    No. It's really not close at all lol. The consistency throughout TPAB blows Views out of the water and it's high points as well. Keep in mind, some of the shining moments on views have glaring flaws as well e.g. "you toying with it like happy meal" on U With Me?

    Like Dj quik said, you can have the argument that tpab is the best album to ever come out of the west coast, in ANY genre. It's ok if you don't like it though, but let's not ignore the past 50 years of black music

    To p---- A Butterfly is a contender for best album of the 2010s and was never gonna be topped by someone like Drake.

    Kendrick has a grander and cohesive vision to his releases. Kendrick is also more creative (or surrounds himself with people who are extremely creative)

    weird comparison... tpab is a thing of beauty.

    its also one of the most well produced albums in modern history. It's basically a collection of some of the best jazz musicians, including arguably the two best today (Glasper and Washington) doing whatever they want with a seven figure budget.
    It's like comparing kdot's best to drake's worst

    Which is the better album? Drake's senior effort vs what I consider Kendrick's third album to date.


    It's close, but I'll go with TPAB because it's more ambitious and a better listen imo
