Right now, I'm working with a contractor, just finished installing patio pavers at this unbelievably huge house. I've also worked in construction, a car garage, and a moving company. Once summer rolls around, I'm going to be working on a farm from 7-2:30 on weekends and contract work weekdays. -

For you younger guys that feel hesitant in posting your jobs b3cause it might be McDonald's or taco bell, there's nothing wrong with that.
My first real job was working graveyard shifts at a gas station. Bought my first laptop and TV off the money I was making there!tjjy, Alpha, lil uzi vert stan and 11 others like this. -

My actual job is a property manager at a couple RV storage spots, but it's pretty hype because it's administrative work which I can do whenever I want, as long as everything is done by the deadlines.
I'm also working with my dad right now, we just spent the last 4 weeks doing 90 hours a week to beast through the set up his new dry cleaners and opened last monday. Doing some of the finishing work like advertising, signage, alarm systems etc for the next two weeks and then I'ma enjoy what's left of the summer til school starts in September.
Going to law school, prob will be a lawyer unless an NHL or NBA team hires me as a scout or some s---. -

I've been working in IT & Marketing since November.
I work for a business, but within that business i have gathered clients (schools, restaurants etc.), & i take care of their social media & websites, so i'm constantly working on designs, email campaigns & online adverts for the businesses.
I also work on computer repairs once & a while.
But how about you guys, what is your occupation? & do you like it/hate it?lil uzi vert stan, Meero, KnowRayJones and 10 others like this.Dec 20, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Worst job I have ever had was when I worked with the moving company. Nothing worse then your boss yelling at you to push when you're pushing a mattress up a 50 year old spiral staircase. What the f--- did he think I was trying to do?Skippy, Loyalty, Ordinary Joel and 7 others like this. -

Right now... I have a kinda crazy temporary job. I wake up at 4 am... in a camp in the middle of nowhere (100 miles north of Fairbanks Alaska), I eat breakfast and head out before 5 am... I travel 1 hour in a company truck (mostly in 4x4 low through steep mountains) when I arrive at a small building that's next to the Trans Alaska Pipeline. At 6am I call in to a switchboard from that building and my day begins... I do nothing but watch watch Netflix and Hulu and browse the net except to call in every 2 hours (8am, 10am, 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm) for a 10 second phone call to tell them I am alive... and if I'm needed they will call me and I'll perform a procedure and throw a swith that will close a valve that will stop 10% of America's supply of oil.
I start driving back to the camp at 6pm.
For this I am getting 7×14s at my lowest rate of $28 an hour which comes out around $3,600 a week in wages... plus this company pays almost $15 an hour into pension so that's almost $1,500 a week into my pension and it will help max out my healthcare and legal insurance for the year.
Pretty gravy.Dec 20, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Yup it's no joke man. Helps you realize that you need to mentally work hard because there's no f---ing way you're gonna keep doing that.
My pops is my boss now actually. He started the company right before I graduated. He wasn't really around on a day to day basis when I was growing up be he's a GOAT in this field and I'm grateful for the relationship we have. No better person in the world for me to learn from.Dec 20, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Ahh damm I feel your pain, around that age I used to help out my pops during the weekends at the landscaping company he works for. Loading wheelbarrows with mulch, cutting grass, plucking out weeds...sure as h--- taught me the value of what working is like.
Currently I'm working as a mechanic at a local garage here in White Plains, started out in high school and I've been doing it for the last 3 years after a brief break from it in my first year of college. Also I'm in Grad School trying to pursue a career in School Psychology. -

Had my 1st when I was 15. Shoveling gravel out of pick ups and being traffic control for my uncles demo company on Saturdays. Then that summer I worked with my dad at his company's shop, washing/waxing trucks and loading them up with material.
