Jul 1, 2016Just listening to this now.
>Legend's different, his voice is hella deep on it.
>Ten Toes Down
>Don't Stop
>Super Crip
>Coolaid Man
>Let Me See Em Up
>Point Seen Money Gone
>Oh Na Na
>My Carz >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> that sample is perfection
> Two Or More sounds like it could be put on Bush
>Affiliated's intro, song's vintage Snoop
>Feel About Snoop
>Light It Up sounds like it has Rihanna in the background, uplifting chill rap record that surprised me, not forced or out of his element (the hook works perfectly in America July 4th). My Swizz Beatz Prod. list might need an edit
>Side Piece's another song to chill to
>Kush Up's ok, beat's kind of irritating. They can do better
>Double Tap caught my attention because apparently Jazze Pha still exists, guy's singing reminds me of Mr. Porter's and that's not a good thing lol. Good song tho
>Got Those is def a filler track. Not bad but it's not up to par with most of this album
>Let The Beat Drop (Celebrate), the chill vibes continue
>What If is dope, can appreciate conscious Snoop
>Revolution is
Overall this gets 9out of 10 on first listen

Snoop Dogg has been teasing a return to his G thang ways for a minute now, and on Instagram Monday (June 13), the rapper gave fans a concrete release date for when they can expect his new album. “July 1 I’m bac,” Snoop wrote beneath the cover art for his forthcoming album Cool Aid.
Sonically, the new album is a return to form for the Long Beach legend and the cover art further signifies just that. After releasing the reggae-influenced Reincarnated as Snoop Lion and the funk-filled Bush with Pharrell in 2013 and 2015, respectively, Snoop here is clearly back to his Doggy Dogg ways, the cover for Cool Aid harkening back to the illustrated stylings of his previous releases Doggystyle and Tha Last Meal
Additionally, Da Brat provided a sneak peak at Snoop’s new music by way of an in-studio video. Back in April, Snoop provided his own preview of what’s in store by filming a studio session with Nipsey Hussle and Just Blaze. Just later said in an interview that he’s been supplying Snoop with some updated G-Funk tunes and that “The final scope and definition of the project remains to be seen, but I’m just excited. I’ve always been a Snoop fan since Doggystyle and The Chronic, so to get a chance to work with him a little more extensively than just, ‘Here’s a beat,’ has been great.”
In terms of official single releases, Snoop dropped the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced “Late Nights” on April 20, but it remains to be seen if the track will be on the album or if it was a high holidays present from the Doggfather himself. Check out the Cool Aid cover art up top, with Da Brat’s insider scoop included below.
