Sure, but I know there have been a few places I've gone that were under direct police surveillance (I was told after the fact) so in police databases I'm sure they keep track of those things, and when cops sit in the middle of the road scanning people that's what they check--expired tags, outstanding warrants, any-non traffic violating reason to pull someone over.

An NYPD cop was out Christmas shopping with his family when he saw a man who wanted to k--- himself — and he used the best technique he could think of to save his life.

    A hug.

Officer Christian Campoverde said he was on an escalator with his family when the man pushed past them at the Queens Center Mall on Dec. 20. The man was muttering that he wanted to end his own life.

“I heard him say, ‘I want to k--- myself. I’m going to jump,’ ” Campoverde said.

The cop’s family immediately turned to him to save the day.

“They gave me that Superman look, like, ‘Chris, go help him.’ It was in my heart, too, so I ran after him,” Campoverde said.

The officer charged up the escalator steps and caught up with the emotionally disturbed man just as he was headed to the third-floor railing.

“I grabbed him by the waistband and said, ‘My name is Officer Campoverde. Can we talk?’ ” the cop recalled.

Remembering a key lesson he learned only a week earlier at a Crisis Intervention Team Training session, Campoverde quickly changed his tone.

“My name is Chris,” he told the man. “I don’t know what you’re going through, but I know it must be pretty bad, but trust me, it’s not worth it.

“Is it OK if I give you a hug? Do you want a hug?” the officer asked.

The man said yes and embraced Campoverde, breaking down into tears.

“He cried hard for a good four to five minutes,” the cop said

lol if you *truly* believe criticizing globalism and the economical performance of black people in the USA is heavily racist rethoric then we might as well dismiss 40% of American and Canadian teachers.

Ignorance about racial subjects and proper racism are not the same thing. One of them applies emotional hatred, and the other lack of understanding.

Okay so the key takeaway from this post is that Pato is absolutely wrong and doesn't understand what he's trying to argue.

Chad was blaming black people for their economic standing. Which............is heavily racist rhetoric.
Sounds a little low to me!
Malice and intent are not important. Ignorant people who develop racist views are racists. When they pass those down to children they teach, it's unconscionable.

Also, if you read Chad Warden's posts on this website and conclude that he doesn't have violently racist views, maybe you needed a better English teacher.

its racist to blame people for being poor just because they are black? its funny how some of you white liberals think you guys are defenders of black people for everything but every ghetto in America is run by democrats and look how that has turned out for the people

Maybe when it's overdone. And of course in peaceful places the police can even be fat lazy donut eaters. But i'm talking in the areas with more moderate crime rates. Crime will happen whether or not the police are intimidating to anyone. At the very least, they can make the name of 'police' wear a little bit more weight on it. A bit of psychology for would-be offenders.

Of course everything should be done in moderation, but i don't think trying to keep up an image is a bad thing.

On a macro level, seeing economic strata as the result of individual choice is stupid and ignorant, and has been disproved plenty of times. When you combine that with race, yeah, the outcome is almost uniformly racist.
Not a white liberal but okay
This is a sentence so dumb and divorced from reality that it's not even worth responding to.

And I'd agree if it wasn't because he's specifically talking about African Americans in general, which is definitely naive but his point didn't revolve around them being blacks.

Since we can't agree on the definition of racism, why couldn't you at least consider that there are different levels of it?

Do you sincerely believe that his "diet racism" could have any impact in the way he teaches his respective subjects? Why wouldn't you just take his words for granted and move on?

    I learn English by myself.

I think he was blaming black 'culture' .

Well i mean it doesn't have to be combined with race. I think he's attacking them on an individual level. Maybe the stereotypes he creates are racist though so there's that. Not violently racist though, more...misinformed type of racist. Not arrogantly ignorant, he just needs to see that not all black people are poor or violent and most of them are decent people (well, compared to the average american).

    :what22::what22::what22::what22::what22::what22::what22:

"He wasn't talking about black people in America. He was talking about African Americans."
This is a nonsense tangent. Racism is racism, and it breeds more racism.
His what? He's been pretty vitriolic.
Yes, absolutely. I've seen it countless times with people far less extreme than he presents himself as being.
I am taking his words at face value. He has said that he's becoming "more and more racist every day."

Ha ha ha! Funny post! Definitely what I meant!

No, because he's making broad, sweeping, cultural claims. He said "black people in America are f----- up and shouldn't be allowed to live with white people."

I am not saying I live in a ghetto. In fact, if you could read, you'd see that my post uses the fact that I don't live in a ghetto to drive home my point.
What.....are.....you talking about? Chad was talking in sweeping terms about how black Americans are "f----- up people."
How is it naive to refer directly to the person's own words?
