In a new interview with Spin, Big Boi has said that he and Killer Mike are working on a joint EP. He said it’ll come out after his next solo record–the follow-up to 2012’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, which he says is “halfway done.” He clarified, “We’ve been entertaining the idea for a long time and finally got enough songs to where we just said the other night that we’re gonna do it.” Pitchfork has reached out to Big Boi and Killer Mike’s reps for more information. Read the full interview here.

Big Boi and Killer Mike have a long collaborative history. Mike featured on OutKast’s Stankonia and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, as well as their Grammy-winning single “The Whole World.” Mike was also on Big Boi’s Vicious Lies and Big Grams’self-titled debut. Big Boi has appeared on a number of Mike’s solo albums, including his 2003 debut Monster. (He was on the album’s single “A.D.I.D.A.S.”) More recently, Big Boi was on Run the Jewels’ “Banana Clipper.”
