    He's worth as much effort as you put into understanding his music. Excellent fundamentals. A writing style all his own. Blockhead beats and now his own which are pretty great.

    I can totally get not wanting to put forth the effort and/or finding his music nerdy or something. Definitely not a guy meant to reach a wide audience despite him somehow doing just that for a couple of minutes in the aughts.

    thats another thing imo to be a great rapper you gotta be known not like kendrick level but not many people know rock other than hip hop heads, you can be the best rapper but if you got 3 plays whats it really mean. I mean I know he gets millions but in the grand scheme of things thats not much

    i might've thought that if i had any prior investment in Lupe but i never heard of him until Lasers and never heard anything by him till that so it's always been a fav of mine
    i figured given what i've seen about lupe round here
    i think i tried f & L and wasn't that into it

    i'm honestly not invested enough into Lupe to care to check out his other anymore tho after hearing the one after Lasers and trying f&L and hearing all the s--- about him in general on here.

    just don't think he's for me when everyone s--- talks Lasers (and it's the only thing by him i've heard and liked)

    Yeah I don't think that makes sense... I mean if anything what I posted kinda shows his bars are pretty simple on surface level as opposed to someone trying to sound overly complex
