    rap involves more from the rapper compared to pop or rock...rock is a team effort...pop is cheesy with few exceptions

    for one literally (literally) anyone can rap passably after some practise

    an actual good quality singer is so rare and a talent you would need to take lessons for to work on or be f---in touched by an angel or smth
    then there's playing an instrument which is inherently way more difficult and time consuming than learning how to rap
    then there is reading music which again is a fairly complex thing that in hand with a bunch of other musical theory s--- is really quite a lot of knowledge a lot of (most) musicians have that most rappers do not need
    and then you have writing songs which is 100x harder than writing raps

    and this is all from somone with experience in doing both i absolutely love rap and understand how ridiculously skilled some rappers are that is no diss to them but no other genre could u turn up to ur homies studio and just f--- around and make some s--- freestyling and have a feesibly good song
