Nov 1, 2016a lot of it comes down to personal preference. Macs are often overpriced for the hardware, but you're getting aesthetics, more attention to detail, Mac OS, Apple-ecosystem (iphone integration, etc.), dual-boot capabilities, one of the best customer services, etc..
if you're just looking for a power machine and don't care about any of the above, or it doesn't sway you enough, then save your $$$ and go with what you "need".
