Just got word from Best Buy that the digital release will be September 4th, 2015, Physical release September 11th, 2015. We about to be eating real soon.

I didn't see an official discussion thread for this album, and it definitely needs one.

For those who don't know, Jay Rock is a rapper from Watts, California who is best known for his show-stealing verse on Kendrick Lamar's "Money Trees". He released his debut album Follow Me Home under Tech N9ne's Strange Music Label, where it was one of the more 'slept-on' releases of the year. Since then, he and Strange Music have amicably parted ways.

His softmore effort is set to be released under TDE soon. There are currently 2 singles released from the album. Street b-----r "Parental Advisory" and the more inspirational "Pay For It" featuring labelmate Kendrick Lamar.

Releasing two wack singles doesn't help for any hype. Where's the energy? Where's the motivation? He's not doing anything interesting.

He still hasn't been able to craft a a potent solo track since No Joke and that chorus was delivered by Ab-Soul. Of all his recent material I'm expecting Money Trees or Shot You Down quality and he fell short.

I know. Ab-Soul had like a month and a half between album announcement and release so I'm highly doubting we'll get Rock in 2014.

At least they let him do his second verse, lol. I honestly thought they wouldn't end up doing the full song and ending it after Kendrick's verse.

Kinda think jay rock should have dropped a mixtape or something first. Awhile ago he said he was going to drop the album out of the sky (or something like that). Didn't think he was that serious,lol. I like his new songs, but after taking a three year hiatus dude is going to have to bring it.

Yeah i was pretty depressed about that period of time where Jay Rock didn't drop anything. But that period of time looks to be over. He's put out some STELLAR songs lately which can only be seen as an indicator of how good this album will be.
