it sucks listening to the second album becuase you can literally hear the man struggling to even rap due to his weight every breath sounds like he's running up hill

I can't believe it's been that long. I found out the day after he passed, on my way to school. My friends told me and I dIdn't believe it at first until I saw the paper. He really meant a lot to Latinos in NYC. Granted he was morbidly obese, no one really thought about his mortality to that degree. As far as the pistol whipping and all of that, most people didn't know about that incident until a couple of years after his death, when the Pun documentary came out. It was an unfortunate event and god knows what else went on in his marriage. That said, that's also none of my business. He was a dude with a lot of personal issues, many of which were never resolved. He still meant something to a lot of people, his cultural significance was greater than his personal demons. The fact that he died so long ago but people are still mentioning him today is a testament to that fact.

I was in grade 6 and we would discuss the news every morning. I bought up Big Pun passing away and the teacher had no idea what I was talking about. He didn't know what a "rapper" was lol

I only knew of Pun from maybe 2 songs before he died, 1 of them being the remix he and Fat Joe did for J-Lo.

The God of my hometown in Soundview, Bronx. Crazy he died in the same city Im living in now (White Plains)

When Nas calls you "the last ray of sunshine I can feel" you know you're special. Had it not been for those health issues I can't imagine the peaks Pun could have reached, to me he was possibly the most remarkable rapper ever like how you that husky yet his flow so nimble? :lawd:
