    Great year, I remember it vividly. Lots of amazing albums. To me, it's unequivocally Big Pun- Capital Punishment. I had anticipated that album for months and it didn't disappoint. Aquemini is dope but I think there were better albums out that year (Capital Punishment, Black Star, Moment of Truth, It's Dark and h--- Is Hot, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill).

    EDIT: It's Dark and h--- Is Hot. It's not the best but of any album that dropped that year that's had the most profound impact on my life.
