    Na you guys are thinking about it wrong. It doesn't have to show WHO is typing... just a simple icon at the bottom whenever anyone is typing would be good enough. All we need to know is that someone is about to post, doesn't matter who. It could be at the bottom where the "live thread" icon was

    This also opens the door to some other cool features like another head system at the bottom which displays something like (Users who recently replied) and have this on a like 20 - 30 minute time checker. This could give people an incentive to be actively replying in a thread because it reserves a reward type system of them being acknowledged for replying, even if they're a s--- poster like myself.

    I get what you're saying but we already have this in each thread:

    But also I wasn't thinking the ... would show who's typing, just that someone's typing

    Awesome. I think it would help the forum to look less like a classic forum and more of a modern online community :idk:

    Like the title says...I wait for like 1-2 after a post sometimes to see if it elicits a response then parachute out. If I saw someone was typing, I be more apt to stick around .

    I'm referring more to less active threads, but obviously the feature would apply to all. Sorta like in messenger for FB.
