Mar 11, 2017Rocky has a dope aesthetic, but he's an unremarkable rapper. I really liked ALLA, but I think that's about as good as it gets for him (which was a 7.5/10). His music connects because he's got a personality, and a very natural ability to convey that personality in his raps. Not a lot of rappers can do it as well as him. Kanye comes to mind as another who can.
I like Rocky a lot, but he's not an influencer.

I'm thinking more on a pop culture/fashion sense because Rocky did take from Raider Klan and SGP when he first started rapping. Even has a song called Houston Old Head. LPFJ 2 is one of my personal favorites and I just thought an album with that kind of flow and style would be powerful for him, yet is nothing close to being new.Ordinary Joel, JIGGA MANE and Mike Tyson like this. -

I don't think he was ever original enough to influence anybody. Musically speaking at least. I guess cloud rap was kind of a thing for a minute with SGP and them? He was the first new school NY guy to turncoat and rip southern flows? Teenagers think he invented the color purple, Supreme, and screwed vocals?gorilla, Ordinary Joel and Buu like this. -

Never gets spoken about in conversation.
From his albums, his impact on the fashion world in hip hop, and how many artist he has influenced including bash barti. I feel like his next album will launch into a staple in hip hop.Relax, Ordinary Joel and Mike Tyson like this.(This ad goes away when signing up)
