Jul 15, 2024 Screaming on antichrist circa 2:10 isn't recovery-like at all lmao. It's more of an hommage to mmlp2 if anything. Sounds just like So much better
Jul 15, 2024 It's not a Recovery or Bad Meets Evil outtake. You think he's gonna make a whole new song and be like 'yo I gotta keep this bit I said from 14 years ago b. Like, okay yeah I know he has 'brand new dance' from 20 ago but that was a very specific reason @ that chris reeves s--- and probably due to the hook n general vibe, so he remade or partly remade it. But, nothing about 'anti christ' including that line sounds like other albums; vocally and sonically, and writing-wise - he wasn't rhyming like that on Recovery or HTS. it sounds new.
Jul 16, 2024 No I actually do. I think it's you who doesn't. You're just a r----- who hears him shout or say something similar n goes OMG THAT'S RECOVERY.
Jul 16, 2024 It’s em’s version of lost tapes. he just mixed new s--- in with the old. everybody said they wanted in the vault. Now they mad cause they got it. Ha.
Aug 11, 2024 i appreciate your post but that 2:00 part on antichrist is clearly a MMLP2 era not recovery. it reminded me a lot of so much better
Aug 12, 2024 Yeah, he didn't do anything in the last 4 years. Renassaince 03-06 leftover Habits MTBMB leftover Brand New Dance - Scrapped Christopher Reeve song on Encore Evil - MMLP2 leftover Lucifer - MTBMB leftover Antichrist - 03-06 leftover Road Rage, Head Huncho, Bad One - MTBMB leftovers Tobey - Lyrical Lemonade leftover Temporary & Somebody Save Me - Revival leftovers SO yeah, it has been 4 years and all he did was to come up with DOSS concept and finding proper tracks from the vault for it, recording an ending to the story track (GC2), doing one first single hit as Houdini. Maybe Fuel was suppossed to be on JID's album but he asked to have it for his own album too.
Aug 13, 2024 I believe that he came up a concept/story for a trilogy. And possibly worked on the three albums. That's why I think we'll get another album next year, before the 1st anniversary of TDOSS. I think he started working on MMLP3 in 2021 but decided to establish the story first through TDOSS then an album or MMLP3 continues this story. It's a Shady throwback album. Source: Just my assumption lmao
Aug 13, 2024 3 years. including the super bowl and haileys wedding and stuff w grip boogie and ez mil. i think he said each album usually is made in 1-2 years. and like others have said he may or may not have a pt 2 planned
Aug 13, 2024 Even Houdini has to be recycled in some way? Possibly just the beat and hook? It's a Jeff bass track and Jeff doesn't talk about it , which is weird if u produced the #2 track song in the US...they havent worked together since he got sober, so is this one a recycle too? (Verses seem new tho)
Aug 14, 2024 The bass sounds in Houdini is very similar to the trumpet sound Jeff plays in Without Me but it's also part of the Abracadabra song. Eminem's intro.vocals are also lifted from Without Me, they haven't been rerecorded.so I'm assuming that's why Jeff gets a credit.
Aug 14, 2024 Jeff Bass gets a writing credit on Houdini because he helped Eminem write the original “guss who’s back” part in Without Me, which Eminem interpolates in Houdini. Jeff obviously has writing credits on Without Me so when Eminem interpolates that song in part of another song, he gets the credit. It’s just business and obviously prevents future court cases. He had absolutely no hand in producing Houdini. It was all Eminem and Resto as far as I’m aware.
Aug 14, 2024 Fair enough ... Has such a similar sound to bass brothers old production style (mmlp, tes, carnival style sound), which is why I think I assumed production credit.
Aug 15, 2024 I don’t believe Eminem used AI to alter his voice. I’ve listened to this album closely and the parts where you think they altered his voice they didn’t. Because when Eminem is rapping you can hear his own voice breaking up from him trying to mimic his old style. Eminem is know to be pretty decent at impersonating other people voices. If they used AI you would expect something more consistent throughout the verses due to the technology.
