Sep 2, 2020 Tekken 7 is the best game since 5 (imo) and righted a lot of the wrongs from 6. As far as nostalgia goes they really made this for long time Tekken fans. Most of the main story goes back to to the classic games (2 and 5 specifically) and fills in some of the details. Explains things about the devil gene and gives more backstory to the rivalry between Heihachi and Kazuya, as well as what happened to Kazuya's mom. You can also view all opening and cut scenes from every game in the series, as well as set the in-game soundtrack to any Tekken game in the series. Highly recommend! They normally have it on sale a lot (in the PS Store at least).
Sep 2, 2020 Yeah, if you were a fan of it growing up then think you should check it out. There is a very large roster of characters to play as and having sold over 5 million copies, it's one of the best selling fighting games of the generation so you'll have the opportunity to sink plenty of hours online if you wanted to.
Sep 2, 2020 the in-game classic soundtrack is exclusive to the Ps4 version, I think. Unless that was just a timed exclusive and now it's on the other platforms

Sep 4, 2020 Yeah it makes sense. To this day, Tekken is still recognized as mostly a playstation franchise anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony is gonna work with Bandai Namco for Tekken 8 (whenever it's announced) on Ps5.

Apr 26, 2023 Same! I gotta say as good as Tekken 7 was, the dlc was it's biggest weakpoint. The non-tekken characters didnt make a whole lotta sense within the Tekken world (Noctis and Negan). Plus half of the dlc were classic chatacters that should've just been in the game to begin with.
Apr 27, 2023 Yeah, Noctis and Negan were horrible choices (for Tekken). I guess it wasn't really about adding characters who fit, it was about just trying to add as much mass appeal as possible. I guess it worked in their favor because this game broke Tekken 3's record for being the best selling game in the series. Although, Tekken 3 was able to sell as much as it did while being available only on Ps1. Still, I disagree with those choices. Noctis belongs in Soul Calibur, and Negan belongs in Mortal Kombat. Harada himself at some point said Negan is too weak to fit into a Tekken game but I guess he folded and added him anyway just to boost cross appeal. Geese Howard was a good choice though. He was the second most requested guest character after Kiryu
Apr 28, 2023 Yeah that s--- was nonsense lmao, but as a ff15 dickrider it was fun to see Noctis realized into a fighting game character even if it was in the wrong franchise to do it in cause god knows Square Enix couldn't have done it. I know it's a hot topic for some hardcore fighting game dudes but I think guest characters are dope, Akuma and Geese are sick as s---.
