Dec 4, 2014 Ok....not sure how I feel. Looks good but not sure ill dig where they take it with the story. Normally i don't put too much into the story on action flicks but this is Terminator. My badass childhood movies.
Dec 4, 2014 Thing is I got mind f----- about the story. Sarah Connor is there pre-baby John so she shouldn't know about the Terminators and there shouldn't even be a T-1000 at that stage. It could happen after T2, I suppose, explains how Sarah knows her s---, knows how to fight and explains the T-1000. Maybe Skynet tried a third time after T2 and sent through T800's and T-1000's, who knows.
Dec 6, 2014 I have mixed feelings about this after watching the trailer. The action looks promising, but the scenes look like callbacks to T1 & T2. The part in the alley with the police car as well as the part in the department store both are almost shot for shot out of T1. The filmmakers clearly wanted the T-1000 (assuming that's what he's supposed to be) to be a clone of Robert Patrick's classic version. Everything from the liquid metal CG effects to the actor's performance have been lifted right from T2. While that might invoke feelings of nostalgia, I can't help but feel like this has been done before. Granted, I obviously have not seen the movie or read the script so I can't judge. But the feeling is that this is more about nostalgia and fan service - with a nearly 70 year old Arnold - than telling a fresh story. This series should have concluded after T2. There was no more story to tell by the end of that IMO.
Dec 7, 2014 Looks f---ing terrible. Its jurrasic world all over again. Its funny because I expected this s--- from star wars and that turned out to be arguably greatest trailer in decades. I'll watch but only because Arnie's back..
Dec 7, 2014 It's supposed to look like T1 because the film goes back to that point but then the timeline is changed, that's the whole point of the film. They even used a shot of young Arnie from T1 in the film.
Dec 7, 2014 I love how they are bringing back the T-1000 model, it is also very eery that Emilia Clarke looks so much like Linda Hamilton.
Dec 10, 2014 Anybody else think the special effects in T2 (23 years ago) look just as good if not better than the special effects in this? God I hate how everything is CGI now.
