    I’ve heard that there’s currently a 450 times uptick in some parts of Texas. Meaning if one day of power normally costs you $4, it would cost you $1800 today - how true is this?

    It wouldn’t be hard to believe by any means.

    This disaster is a sign of what’s to come as Climate Change accelerates.

    It’ll take only be that much if your provider shuts down and your are forced to go on a last resort provider. A lot more Texans have had power restored and Houston has had 97% power restored.

    Great news... I think the only Texans I like live in Houston... I guess Willie Nelson is in Austin... but I know he definitely has back up systems.

    It’s still ridiculous but that’s the cost of privatisation in a free market I guess, live & learn. Good to hear things are slowly getting back to normal. I feel for you guys, I really do.
