Great news for all 2Pac fans; The long awaited 2Pac biopic is set to start filming in June.

Randall Emmett, the film’s producer, has stated that the script has been completed & the movie is ready to go. Even more good news, the producer has also said that they secured the rights to use Pac’s music.

‘The script is great and we’re ready to make the movie; we’re just prepping the logistics. I think our story, especially like a lot of biopics in the Hip-Hop space, will at least tease the beginning of his life, kind of tease his beginnings and kind of the people around him, then go into the key years leading up to the pinnacle of his success—those three or four key years of his rise, and the empire he built’.

Emmett has had previous experience working with Hip-Hop stars. In 2009, he co-founded Cheetah Vision with 50 Cent, which has since put out a handful of films. He’s also an executive producer on 50’s Starz series ‘Power‘, & produced movies like ‘End of Watch‘ and ‘Lone Survivor‘.
