    Getting universal acclaim so far. Have read in several reviews that it’s the best Batman movie ever. IGN gave it a 10/10

    just got back from seeing the early showing in i-max. really enjoyed it. this one is different from the previous films because you actually see Batman doing detective work. in the other Batman films, you don't really see that side of Batman.

    i also really enjoyed the relationship between batman and cat-woman. they had great chemistry. and as the movie progresses, they find out that they have more in common with each other than they realize.

    man, wait until you guy see the penguin/batman car scene. that was probably my favorite part. what did the rest of you guys think?

    b--- average the film. Trailer hyped it up to be something special, just another Batman film. Nothing original or unique to say anything about it. Car chase scene was amazing but the story, the deadpan acting of Bruce and the direction of the character was plain vanilla. Don’t get the critics high score for it at all.

    Yes. Its a good movie and a excellent Batman movie. Nothing special but a good movie

    Wouldnt say its better but wouldnt say its worse. This batman/catwoman dynamic was much better than in TDKR too

    Dark Knight might be a better overall movie, but this is a better Batman movie, for sure. Not a perfect film, but it’s the perfect Batman film.

    If you told me you thought this was better than TDK, I wouldn’t argue.

    Don't love it but also don't hate it, just too long and I don't mind long movies but is the type of a long movie that you really feel. You coulda seen exactly the same story line in 2 hours instead of 3 with no major changes at all.

    What would you cut out? Just curious. I thought the pacing was one of the better parts of the film

    For example that motorcycle scene with Batman and Catwoman, that didn't do anything to the movie.

    That scene at the end where Batman was hanging for like a full minute and you coulda see that Catwoman was about to come and save the day was also kinda meh, long and so predictible.

    Also, that scene in the beginning where they were focusing on that kid that was with the thugs like he was gonna be part of the movie and we don't see him ever again that was stupid to me lol

    I don't know man, I'm gonna go watch it again. I'm the type of person to go see a movie 2-3 times If I love what is it all about and I love super hero movies, specially DC one lol.

    Just curious, do you feel like it was the type of movie from where if you cut 30 minutes you're gonna be confused and not understand the story? I might overreacted with one 1h but for sure could have been 20-30min shorter with no problem.

    I think its off to a good start, it definitely planted seeds and did alot of world building. I expect the sequels to improve in quality like Reeves Planet of the Apes trilogy

    No I completely agree it could of benefited by cutting out a good 20 mins; I only wonder what moments I would cut out, I just found everything to blend pretty seamlessly.
    the entire joker scene should’ve been cut. It was terrible. It didn’t even seem like it was the same movie we were just watching. Don’t like the casting either.

    That movie was way toooo long. It became so boring after a while. The action scenes are not even making up 1/3 of the whole movie and the rest is just super dragged out social criticism. Some scenes were super weird or straight up unnecessary. I really want to like this but I'll most likely never watch this again. Maybe I don't see the vision.

    Like who wants to see Batman getting bullied by a Redditor for 3 hours? I mean I know that is is supposed to be a young Batman, but he actually was f---ing useless and caught more L's than anyone in this movie. Are we supposed to think he's smart because he solved Riddler's stupid riddles? Tf was that spanish one even about? Why were there romantic moments between Batman and Catwoman? That movie takes place during the span of a week and they only saw each other like 3 times while suited up. I liked their dynamic but their relationship eventually waters down to: "Jesus. Do you always have to sneak up on people?"

    Agreed some scenes were super weird. Like the one where Batman cuts the rope and falls into the water. Why was that even in slow motion lol.

    I think you went in wanting to dislike this movie lol. These are pessimistic takes. I don’t think this movie is for everybody, but these are empty critiques on your part. To each his own.
