Jul 23, 2019 you always got some unique ones. need to check some of them. Who should i check out first?
Jul 23, 2019 Like the Wale/Charles Hamilton generation. The blog era of rap when s--- like 2dopeboyz, okayplayer, etc was at its peak
Jul 23, 2019 Really f--- with Denzel Curry and Cordae lately. Side note: blog era rap will always be my favorite. Shoutout to XV finally making a project for the first time since 2012 lmao. Side note 2: I remember YG opened up for Wiz and Snoop back in 2011 and he brought out Meek Mill in Philly to do Im A Boss. Pre-DC2 meek at that. Was legendary
Jul 23, 2019 ZUU was f---ing dope. Probably the only new generation rap album that I liked. Other than Revival of course.
Jul 24, 2019 forgot to mention Maxo Kream but you should definitely check his latest album out. I think you'd probably like JID and Saba. DaBaby is absolutely worth checking out if you havent already. If you're willing to venture out a bit then give YNW Melly a chance, his first album - I Am You - is sensational
Jul 24, 2019 'current' generation is hard to describe cause people are listing guys like kendrick and cole when they're not from the same time as father or ilovemakonnen and theyre not from the same time as guys like uzi or 21 and theyre not from the same time as guys like ski mask or lil peep and theyre not from the same time as guys like 6ix9ine or lil baby and theyre not from the same time as guys like blueface or dababy hip hop moves really fast these days and a word like generation casts too wide a net
Jul 24, 2019 Yo Cream is still spelled w a C didn't know he also does that weirdo s--- w c and b New Zealand boy
Jul 24, 2019 Exactly this. The rate of change is so fast these days you can have entirely new generations every year. I guess that’s what XXL has been trying to tell us lol.
Jul 24, 2019 I see 30+ people on here calling eachother fa----s and watching cartoons, and 40 year old rappers (and people in general) posting things on twitter so age isn't a thing anymore
