Best produced rap album ever. The mixing and mastering on that album revolutionized hip-hop. The production on that album is nothing short of greatness.

Tbh I prefer 2001 over the OG Chronic but I will admit that the album did have good production.

2001 can't touch The Chronic in the slightest, in any aspects.

I was driving home today and Dre Day came on so I revisited the whole album which gave me the idea for the thread.

There's not a bad produced song on this

I respect your opinion about The Chronic. For me the album definitely has a dated feel, like you can tell when the album was released. With 2001, there's a more timeless feel to it. It's really different from other rap albums at the time.

Tbh.... I always thought The Documentary was the best produced rap album. Chronic is great too though.

ehhhh. i can't agree with this at all. production sounds insanely dated to me. 2001 is an instant step up imo

Honestly, it's a tie between doggystyle and the original Chronic for me... doggystyle + chronic, man snoop was on fire at that time.

2001 doesn't come close to these 2 albums imo

nah... The Chronic was also very different than any other album coming out at that time, it's just that it influenced more albums than 2001 so a lot of albums that followed had a similar sound.

It's one of the most influential albums of all time.
