Paradox felt like Event Horizon light. Probably would have been a better stand alone film than a Cloverfield sequel. I assume the Cloverfield universe exists in various dimensions, that’s the only way that the final seconds make any sense.

yeah his "mystery box" speech kinda lets u know that. he pretty much talks about a mystery box his grand dad had where he never opened it or knew what was inside but he always wondered and imagined what would be inside. fast forward to when he grandad passes away, he holds up the mystery box and says "so i now finally am allowed to open it. But i'm not going to. The 30+ years of mystery is much more profound than whatever is REALLY inside this box"

it's basically an analogy to his work

I just watched it, I'm pretty sure this is just a filler film of anything to try and make sense out of the last two movies. This way I think it can tie in everything he's done from Lost to Super 8 to Fringe. Kinda weird but cool nonetheless

Second movie was just as better critically, I like the first one a lot more its one of my favorites but yeah if they could just focus back on the 2008 Manhattan timeline that'd be dope

Yeah I don't care about an expanded universe. Not for a monster movie lol. Just f---ing give us a sequel to the first movie please. That movie was so f---ing awesome
