Feb 20, 2017 Yup. I guess because he was sexually taken advantage of by a priest when he was 13 and he said he benefited from it so he was pretty much defending that stance.
Feb 20, 2017 this isn't the same as berkley because the people who invited him revoked the invitation instead of the people who specifically didn't want to hear him anyway forcing him out
Feb 20, 2017 what a ridiculous thing to try and make this seem like he's being censored no one forced them to withdraw their invitation this time, this is a private organization deciding they don't want a particular speaker to speak at their private function that's not the same as the regressive left using violence to silence someone they disagree with :s
Feb 20, 2017 UC Berekly by law has to allow him to speak. They are a federally funded university--they had no choice. If they did have one, they would have told him to f--- off just like the CPAC did. Let's not get it twisted either: the CPAC disinvited him due to comments he made; the same reason why so many berekly students protested him speaking.
Feb 20, 2017 btw, fully aware UT is a really horrible term, but honestly, there's no quicker way imo to explain just exactly the type of cunty person he is
Feb 20, 2017 that's why there's no controversy about this at all. it's a private function that revoked their invitation. trying to spin it in the op by saying s--- like "m-muh free speech" is disingenuous. this isn't a freedom of speech issue.
Feb 20, 2017 I was totally trolling about the freedom of speech thing lol. I was just using the argument that those on the right used and applying it here.
Feb 20, 2017 http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...er-canceling-publication-of-yiannopoulos-book Lmfao his book's publication got canceled. @Lamont he taking majoring L's bruh lol
Feb 20, 2017 freedom of speech is threatened when a club can be forced to cancel a guest speaker because of threat (and follow through on those threats) of physical violence and damage i wouldn't see him even if it was a free speech but you can't just start breaking s--- when he's hired to speak to a club that you don't even belong to i know that, i'm saying it's not the same thing here as when people were saying it about berkeley. you're misrepresenting those arguments by applying it to this situation. if there had been peaceful protests and the berkeley club had decided on their own to revoke their invitation, then it would be an equivalent issue but it seems like you're trying to paint this as the conservatives being willing to attack the liberals but not themselves on free speech issues when this isn't one at all.
Feb 20, 2017 this is just going to make his book sell more when he finds a new publisher and they put "too controversial for publication" on the cover
Feb 20, 2017 no it's not. Milo has lost way way more "speech" and probably his job (which is "speech" as a news group editor) in the last 24 hours of Republican/Conservative protesters then he ever did from left leaning protesters... And losing his CPAC keynote address, his book and his job is still not losing his freedom of speech.
Feb 20, 2017 We've already come to an agreement though that if berekly had the authority to turn him down, they would have. The school did not have the legal authority to do so, so the student body took over. I think it's obvious that a vast majority of the student body did not want him to speak there. It's not because he's a conservative either, it's because he's a hateful prick that makes disturbing comments. The connection I wanted to make was that the reasoning for the CPAC and berekly protestors were the same. I'm sure there are people in the CPAC that still wanted Milo to be there. Oh f---ing well: sucks to s---. Same goes for the club that invited him to berekly. Invite someone else.
Feb 20, 2017 I thought of a way for Milo to make all this go away... Tell everyone it was "locker room talk."
Feb 20, 2017 be it talking about using your power and money to sexually assault woman, or underage boys it's all okay as long as it's just locker room talk
