Sep 12, 2018 Read an article today that said even the Texas GOP is starting to doubt Ted a bit. I have not seen a single Ted Cruz campaign ad or yard sign in my area (I live in a suburb of Houston, about 30 minutes from the city). Yet I’ve seen the same Beto O’Rourke ad so many times that I could probably recite it. Not to mention the hundreds of yard signs.
Sep 14, 2018 Willie Nelson is playing benefit for Beto... and really really f---ing stupid people are finding out Willie (the pot smoking, free loving, anti-war, environmentalist) is a Democrat for the first time.

Sep 21, 2018 Wasn’t able to catch it. Wish I did, would’ve been amusing to see Ted try and justify the separation of families or the killing of innocent people by police. One of the debates is going to be in Houston, going to definitely try to go.
Sep 21, 2018 Bruh... the debate opened up with a question about police brutality/institutional racism. They asked Cruz if he believed African-Americans faced discrimination by police officers in the country & he responded by going on a tangant about the police officers who were shot & killed in Dallas in 2016. One of the biggest racist dog whistles i’ve heard all year & we have Trump as president. It was a god awful response. Overall though, I think Cruz had a smart strategy. He tried to associate Beto a lot with Clinton. He continuously brought up hot button issues like the second amendment, religious liberty, blue lives matter etc. He was pandering to the base so to speak while Beto was left having to explain a lot of his positions which he did a fairly good job at doing but... it’s Texas. At the end of the day, they love their guns & god. We’ll see though, Beto ended the debate very strong. He attacked Cruz for not visiting all of Texas’s counties but he visited all of Iowa’s counties during the presidential election. He pointed out how Cruz is notorious for missing senate votes. He missed half of senate votes in 2016. “You tell me how you can miss half the days of work & be rehired for that same job.” That was by far his best moment imo.
Sep 29, 2018 Trump in campaign mode. Starting off by calling democratic candidate Richard Ojeda who’s also a veteran, a “wacko” & “crazy.”
Oct 11, 2018 Dems senate prospects are not looking good. They weren’t favored to win the senate a month ago but their numbers are getting worse. Mainly because the senate map is not very favorable to democrats. There are several incumbent democrats running for re-election in very red states like N. Dakota, Tennessee, Missouri etc. It’s looking pretty unlikely Dems take back the senate right now but we are still about a month out from Election Day. Dems prospects for the House are looking pretty good though. Their numbers have been going up. If Dems can win back one house of Congress + a bunch of state elections/governorships, i’d be ecstatic. Dems controlling the house could investigate various activities this administration has engaged in, get trump’s tax returns, & most importantly act as a real check on Trump. The ACA would be protected for the time being, no dumb a--- border wall funding, impeachment could be realistic pending the special counsel’s report etc.
Oct 11, 2018 https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/senate/texas/ Texas Democrats better get out and vote this year. If Beto loses I’m more than willing to bet it will be because of low voter turnout.
Oct 11, 2018 wisconsin out here with the non-binding medical marijuana referendum on the ballot this November It's literally just a glorified poll that has no legal standing (f--- you Scott Walker) but we're out here trying it's lit
Oct 11, 2018 https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-midterm-election-forecast/senate/texas/ Yeah, Beto has ~24% chance of winning right now. So almost 1/4 chance which isn’t terrible tbh. Ted Cruz is likely to win but it’s not in the bag by any means. Also, voter suppression could come into play here. Texas, like most red states, restricts voter registration periods & provides few polling locations which requires some citizens to travel longer distances if they want to vote. If you’re a brown low income citizen, chances are you won’t be able to travel to the next county to go vote. You have work, children to take care of, family matters etc.
Oct 12, 2018 https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2018/10/12/politics/beto-orourke-fundraising-record-third-quarter/index.html His yard signs are still multiplying through the city by the way.
Oct 13, 2018 @Sign Language these are the kinds of restrictions I was referring to that could hurt Beto’s chances.
Oct 13, 2018 https://www.google.com/amp/s/wtop.c...ays-hes-willing-to-debate-orourke-on-cnn/amp/ “Ted” needs to make up his mind. Hope Beto mops the floor with him on national tv, but he needs to be more aggressive.
