Trump is a triggered little snowflake who can’t handle jokes on his behalf from SNL. He wants skits about him “tested in court.” Why is he being so politically correct? I thought he was a tough alpha male?

Trump triggering another government shutdown over his stupid border wall.

@Sign Language looks like the criminal justice bill is gonna pass surprisingly! It’s a good start but I hate how it’s being paraded as “sweeping criminal justice reform.” This is like... a baby step in the right direction.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of “sweeping” being used either. The bill only benefits federal prisons (less that 10% if prison population). Like you said, a baby step in the right direction.

Trump is going to sign the farm bill today. Hopefully hemp will help out the many struggling farmers. Need him to sign the STATES Act next year when Cory Gardner reintroduces it.

Trump’s defense secretary just quit. He totally rebukes trump’s actions/positions on foreign policy in his resignation letter. In before Sean Hannity for Chief of Staff.

If I’m Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer, I look the president dead in his eyes & say, “do it.”

d--- I remember when y’all were saying Trump wouldn’t last or be impeached soon. Look at him now. He’s thriving and just keeps on winning. It’s sctuslly insane how he does it.

I love this whole push for impeachment. It’s hilarious. Congress wouldn’t ever vote to actually have Trump removed from office. If he’s impeached it’s just gonna be a Bill Clinton situation

Impeachment is a very real possibility for Trump. Whether or not the senate would charge him is doubtful unless the special counsel has something extremely damning. Nonetheless, an impeachment would be politically catestrophic. Everything would be out in the public; trump’s family, friends, business partners, & trump himself would be forced to testify to Congress and/or federal investigators. Trump has a rough time telling the truth to say the least so him prejuring himself is probably the biggest concern for his lawyers given this scenario.

Ultimately, you’re right. It could play out like Clinton where the house votes to impeach but the senate acquits him along a partisan vote. The one distinction I would make here though is the accusations against trump are a lot more serious. We’re not talking about some dude lying about cheating on his wife here. Also secondly, there are moderate Republicans in Congress like a Romney who aren’t loyal to Trump. Ultimately, those moderate Republicans who Trump frequently attacks on Twitter, could determine the fate of his presidency. All it takes is one to side with democrats & all of a sudden, it’s no longer a partisan battle.

You don’t think it’s possible a democratic controlled house would impeach Trump?

I feel like it’s almost a certainty they will lol. But unless there’s some real 100% evidence of serious crimes the Senate won’t back that & it won’t yield anything but a bad look for the Dems imo. They could win in 2020 by really running on a progressive agenda and fighting for what they want rather than getting caught up in Trumps distractions

Even if it’s proven he broke the law, I don’t think republicans in the senate would necessarily budge. It’s confirmed Trump broke campaign finance laws by sending his then personal lawyer/fixer Michael Cohen, to pay Stormy Daniels (& likely other women) to stay quiet during the election. Michael Cohen is in jail right now because of that transaction & Trump would have certainly faced charges too if he weren’t president. Most Republican leaders have downplayed those crimes though & brushed them off as not a big deal. It would have to be truly something devastating for Republicans to get on board with impeachment.

Democrats are going to investigate Trump to h--- though. They’re going after his tax returns, his business affairs, business partners, family etc. They’re going to dig deep & if they find anything, they’re most certainly going to use it.

Man I just think they should focus on a platform. If they don’t find anything at all this is a huge waste of time and money

Investigations are warranted via checks & balances. Trump’s global business ties, many of which consist of shady figures with affiliations to foreign adversaries & criminal organizations, should be concerning to every American. Dems won these past midterms in a big way, it’s time for them to use that power & push back. 2020 is still some time away, all of that will work itself out eventually but as of right now, keeping Trump in check & pushing progressive policies should be the forefront. For example like this:

No chance this becomes law soon but forcing Republicans to vote on this type of legislation will be useful come 2020.
