She’d be an interesting candidate, definitely wouldn’t oppose her running. She’s defintley a bit more of a moderate Democrat though & idk how she would do in a field that’s going to yield a lot more progressives than in 2016. She votes in line with trump ~31% of the time & that’s going to be a tough sell for a lot of costal/very blue states. She certainly has the credentials though: law degree from Yale, legal background, Senator since 2006, most legislation passed in congress since then etc. She just needs name recognition.

Trump realizing quickly House Democrats are not going to give in & he’s trying to fund his border wall with a loophole which likely won’t work. Can you imagine if a democratic president declared a national emergency over climate change & enacted strict green house gas emission laws? Republicans would lose their f---ing minds lol. Or if a democratic president declared a national emergency over gun violence & enacted gun control laws? There would be drafts of impeachment before lunch lol.

Woah, this would be unconstitutional because of the amendment our founding fathers wrote to protect US citizens. There’s no need for harsher gun laws. Instead of building this stupid wall and use that money for mental health; problem solved. There would be way less shootings. A criminal will always find a hand on a gun regardless of the restrictions.

That has nothing to do with guns but ok. I think trumps wants the longest shutdown just so he can say yeah I did that, once his term is over. He’s the type of guy that gets a thrill out of it to me at least.

I mean I’d support the border wall if Mexico actually paid for it. I don’t want that s--- coming out of my tax money. Surely this s--- actually won’t happen.

The fact that you don’t want your tax dollars paying for it says it all. If a border wall was truly necessary, you wouldn’t mind tax dollars funding it but the thing is... it’s not. Also, this is despicable:



The trump administration is trying to divert natural disaster relief funding to fund their useless border wall. Imagine sticking up for this administration even a little bit...

She’s the congresswomen from Hawaii right? Yeah, I looked into her months ago before she declared to run. She has a long anti-gay marriage history that I just can’t co-sign. She was an activist for an anti-gay marriage group that supported conversion therapy which is utterly disgusting. From my understanding, her opinion on gay marriage is different now but a lot of these actions/comments from her were not very long ago. Plus, I imagine her positions on other social issues (especially trans rights) are probably less than stellar too.
