Sep 24, 2019 Said this like a thousand times before but the sake of the thread I gotta say it one more time... I was really hyped about this album because Relapse replay value wasn't as high as previous Em albums and I was hungry for new s--- so soon. As I remember, I've heard WTP, Won't Back Down, 25 To life and of course Not Afraid before the album drops. Not Afraid was great, even though it felt unlike Em, it was great. Won't Back Down was meh and 25 To Life was just too poppy sounding. WTP on the other hand, was brilliant to me because that sounded exactly like the old Em I knew and liked. I refused to listen to those tracks untill the album comes out. I didn't listen to it when it leaked. I bought the cd the day it released. I was so dissapointed in the 1st listen that I felt like, well, there are not more than 3-4 songs I'd bump all the time. (So Bad, WTP were the ones I loved the most because of the whole sound) Of course few listens after that, I felt I exaggurated the things at first and actually realized some songs like Seduction, No Love, Going Through Changes were pretty great. But some time after MMLP2 came out, I decided to give Em's whole discography a listen and Recovery felt so fresh to me, the whole poppy sound, beats and hooks weren't bad at all. All of a sudden, I started to like the album for what it is. Today, I still appreciate it and there are very few songs on that album I don't f--- with like almost ever. (Won't Back Down, Almost Famous, You're Never Over)
Sep 29, 2019 The beginning of sell out Eminem, bad production and the downward spiral. Hated it at the time for that fact, but it had good songs on it and considering what has come since.....yikes
Oct 1, 2019 Horrible album.IMO.but does have a few gems like GTC Cold Wind Blows and Seduction. Ridaz was a pretty great bonus track too. His flow and the beat were Eminem Show like. Too bad that was pretty much never heard from again after that.
Oct 10, 2019 No Love, Space Bound, Not Afraid, 25 to life, Seduction, WTP, Going Through Changes. Great album
