Sep 19, 2017 I mean yeah but if you telling me MMLP2 is better than GKMC because it sold better you're just an idiot
Sep 19, 2017 Nah you're not getting what he's saying he's saying albums that are received better usually don't sell as well. Em could release a bad album and it would sell better than a great album made by even someone like Kendrick/Kanye. Eminem doesn't have a bad album imo but I'm sure it could happen given the sales of recovery/relapse
Sep 19, 2017 Em's music/style is quite niche when you think about it, and maybe you outgrew the style. He's polarising. Those who like him and his style tend to see him as up there with the best. Those that don't see him as vastly overrated. This is why I see him as something of a legend - bc to be so so popular, successful and revered yet so incredibly polarising and divisive is very rare and difficult to achieve, which is indicative to me of his star quality and the visceral effect he seems to have on people. Whatever it is that makes him him can't be replicated or ignored. He's a total one-off, like him or not.
Sep 19, 2017 the things that delusional Eminem stans say, Vanilla Ice & MC Hammer also sold more than others but their music wasn't good. stop using sales as a crutch.
Sep 20, 2017 Yeah, let's listen to 'versace, versace, versace' that is so deep and meaningful - appropiate for mature audiences. true about the aging tho
Sep 20, 2017 In what universe are k--- you, Marshall Mathers, Drug Ballad, Till I Collapse, The Way I Am, I'm Back, Amityville, Remember Me, White America, Say Goodbye Hollywood, My Dad's Gone Crazy, Sing for the Moment, Without Me, Square Dance, Stimulate, Role Model, I'm Shady, Guilty Conscience, Rock Bottom, Still Don't Give a f---, Hellbound, I Remember, The Sauce, Nail in the Coffin, Bully, Quitter, If I Get Locked up Tonight, Don't Approach Me, Bad Influence, and his Devil's Night verses overrated? Under whose s-----y subjective opinion??
Sep 20, 2017 Rap on the whole has aged s-----y which is why I can barely stand it these days. But Em's talent back in the day (esp. in 2000-2001) was, and still is, undeniable. Even if much (most?) of the content seems dated, immature, whatever, his effortless, rhythmically precise vocal delivery, insatiable hunger and creative passion (I think of Amityville in particular) back then still leaves me speechless to this day. The production on MMLP and Devil's Night, too, holds up very well imo.
