Dec 30, 2017 Castle / Arose. What a way to end a career plagued by substance abuse and albums that never matched his earlier output. Revival as a whole isnt great, but the last two songs (especially the rewind to Castle on Arose) are so great that if eminem does indeed make these his last two studio album songs, he's redeemed himself possibly just enough in my eyes. What do you think?
Dec 30, 2017 I think it would be an amazing last 2 songs to put out but it wont be, I need a non pop album to end his career
Dec 30, 2017 Nah just based off the fact he’s touched on those days already. I feel bad for the guy I never really thought about how very little left he has to talk about until he started pointing it out lately, it’s gotta be insanely frustrating for him. Wish someone would tell him he doesn’t need to tell stories from his personal life or rap just to rap he needs to tell some more stories like Murder Murder or concept songs.
Dec 30, 2017 imo revival is a great album with s--- fillers apologies for the repost, but if Em put out his album in this order, it would have been a classic for sure. All the other tracks couldve been on the 'delux pack' so the record companies can be fk happy with their money pockets.. 1. Walk On Water (ft. Beyonce) / Intro to Em’s theme, tho not perfect it does it fine 2. Chloroplastic (ft. Phresher) / Catches listener’s attention with hard b-----r 3. Remind Me (Intro) / Gives a Relapse kinda vibe to it which bleeds into ... 4. Offended / Throwback to the Shady persona, Shady goes hard on this one, you can kinda hear Relapse in on it 5. Nowhere Fast (ft. Kehlani) ./ Need some pop reliever, this track dont get enough cred 6. Framed / Imo this is one of Em’s best songs in a long a--- time, its good to spread the godly out to keep the listener's attention 7. River (ft. Ed Sherran) / Deep track to resonate to, this is good for the feels, also kinda poppy so it fills a demographic. 8. Heat / Relieves from the emotional turnout from River to a decent vibe track. Em constantly does this so we can balance out the LP to have its own fair share (i.e. Kim to Under the Influence, Sing For the Moment to Superman, etc). 9. Need Me (ft. P!nk) / Sets up the story of the last act 10. Revival (Interlude) / Gives a breather so the story can feel emotional. I felt like the transition from 'Need Me' to 'In Your Head' was kinda awkward. This feels natural. 11. In Your Head / intro to his downfall, Em reminisces his relationship with his daughter and what he couldve done different to alter everything up. 12. Castle / Em’s letter to Hailey as he falls off the throne to escape the Castle he created 13. Arose / Em falls from the throne to his demise from his overdose, part 2 ends with Em’s revival and his current upbringing in the rap game
Dec 30, 2017 Ill put out this last album then I'm done with it 100% finished, fed up with it I'm hanging it up, f--- it! Excuse the cursing, baby, but just know That I'm a good person, thought they portray me as cold And if things should worsen, but I bet ya they won't I'm pledging to throw this methadone in the toilet, Shred these old letters i wrote On that old pathetic loathing Closing credits can roll
Dec 30, 2017 Revival has probably the greatest album ending I’ve ever heard. That being said. If he had a 10-12 track album that lead up to the ending. Like a concept album. We could possibly be looking at one of the greatest rap albums of all time. But that’s not what we got so...
Dec 30, 2017 production wise its good homie but that migos flow was really cringe thats just imo tho,
Dec 30, 2017 Castle is so good lol The way he says "Dear Hailie" before every verse is >>>>>>>> The rewind on Arose is >>>>>>> Eminem, retire please. You've redeemed yourself
Dec 30, 2017 perfect end to eminems career would be a diss song from Kerser calling him out for being a s--- c---- behind the mic
