But his model might be different compared to the American one, and he has stated before that what he teaches inside those subjects have no correlation with his political allegiance.

I'm not going to dismiss his own words m8.

With respect, you came at me for "changing the argument," but that's exactly what you're doing here. Your argument at first was that my post was, itself, racist. I've explained to you since that it was a rhetorical device to highlight the hypocrisy and absurdity of JMG's whole conceit as a poster.

I didn't see the post where you were banned. It might have been unjustified. I'm simply saying that my post had a very obvious purpose.

    I've attended school in Canada.

Regardless, all literature studied in school is political. Very, very few exceptions, and you'd have to stretch to make those arguments. The way you filter the outside world changes how you teach a text. That's just the truth. There is no objectivity.

sorry i've not really read the whole thread and jumped at the technicality, but for me, religion and racism both seem to be deeply rooted cultural things born out of ignorance

idk, i'm biased though where religion is concerned and not particularly fond of the fruits of islams labor atm

i'll stay out of this further

The original problem I had was with the staff banning me for 'n----' and not you for 'honkey', the rest was just useless packaging. I had no personal problems with you here, until you dropped that bomb there.

Yeah i know, i pointed out that we used both words for the exact same reason but i was instantly banned. The ironic sarcasm was obvious.

Well my one interaction with a cop in the last year was getting pulled over for "barreling through a red light" (aka going the speed limit through a yellow that could have turned red as my rear axle was under it) so now I'm on edge that any minor slip up could give my local PD a nice $200 bonus. Plus more and more American PDs are purchasing those devices that can intercept calls/texts and track your location via SIM card so I'm sure they have it on a database somewhere that I've visited sketchy places, which gives them enough motivation to pull me over if they want and do those bs $2 drug tests in the vehicle that are notoriously bad about false positives-- which would result in more fines/potential jail time/suspension of my license. If cops don't bother you, fine, but it's not a ridiculous mindset to have.

That being said, off duty cops don't bother me and I've chatted up a few before.

Haha I stay indoors when I'm high, sadly my skin-tone and red eyes would get me thrown in a car.

But on a serious note it's something a couple of us have been traumatized about. I remember when I lived in the Bronx it was pretty common to see cops slam people on cement and very rarely did it happen but we sometimes heard helicopters at night when they were conducting a raid. I remember one time I was walking with my mom and a cop questioned us where we were going and what was in the grocery bag we had, obviously we had nothing suspicious but the impending fear made us nervous and my mom's English at the time was still a bit green so it was a tense situation. It's small things like that and others could probably share worse stories that have given us a negative perception about police.

Up material. He is better developed but i'm pretty solid so there isn't enough compensation for him.

Fair stance, but the particular problem we have with him is his obliviousness when it comes to the racial background behind American history, not any particular heavily racist ideology.

He's not saying "f--- n*ggers lmao", he's just the classic "MLK fought for equality while the Black Panthers were evil marxists" or "Globalism is history's greatest hoax f--- the Clintons" type of person.

Again, I don't see why would you dismiss his own words and the way he handles his profession, but whatever.

What he has expressed--in his own words, which you value so much--is heavily racist ideology. On this board. In the thread from which you pulled that quote.

That's neat, only the military here has helicopters and they only ever fly during training (we have little need for them) (apart from that massive extradition a few years ago).

This is probably one of the gaps between how you and I see the police. Where I live, the police department flies helicopters low over neighborhoods, including my own, waking people up and shining spotlights into windows.

I do pray you are telling the truth about your background, I hate talking about where I'm from because I saw things that no child should have ever seen and moving out of there was the best thing that ever happened to my family.

    That sounds f---ing cool!
Police here are scared for their f---ing lives in the night. Whenever they move in at nights the're heavily armed and in groups. They also avoid killing certain (important) people without first militarizing the entire area , since some gangs will straight up open fire at police stations. (or use Molotov's).

I promise it's not. It's the reason lots of kids here feel like they're living in a police state, and it's easy to let yourself think that, too.

Meh some police forces count on being intimidating. It helps their confidence as much as anything else. It's really more for them than for scaring any of you.

That's not an uncommon line of thinking, but I'd argue that it's counterproductive: that intimidation breeds contempt among citizens, which in turn makes the police's job more difficult.
