I really don't think any of this surprised Drake. Whatever Push said has been spoken on by Drake already so idk if he really feels humbled. He dropped I'm Upset over the weekend and it almost feels like he's addressing the baby situation Pusha touches on in the 1st verse.

Got a lot of blood and it's cold
They keep tryna get me for my soul
Thankful for the women that I know
Can't go fifty-fifty with no ho
Every month, I'm supposed to pay her bills
And get her what she want
I still got like seven years of doin' what I want
My dad still got child support from 1991

Outta time, people love to pop a lot of s--- then come around
Word to Flacko Jodye, he done seen us put it down
    n----s askin' if I'm cool

Could obviously just be a miscalculation by Drake, but I don't think so. ASAP got accused of being Sophie's baby daddy last year as well. Drake hasn't had a relationship with ASAP in years and shouts him out on a song about not going 50/50 with no hoe? Don't think that's a coincidence.

A majority of people said before that beef kicked off that Meek was a better rapper and more experienced in battle rap. Drake was the underdog in that beef.

:thinkinghmmm: I only listened to that track once so I didn't catch that. That does seem like too much of coincidence, it's too bad that song kinda fell flat.

Who was trashing infrared? Lol everyone was calling the album great/perfect/classic before duppy came out lol. I never understood the duppy/infrared comparisons. Infrared was just a track with a couple bars aimed at drake. Duppy was an actual diss track.

Before any diss tracks were exchanged, Drake was absolutely the underdog vs meek lol. I remember specifically everyone on here talking about meek’s battling background & how drake’s in over his head etc. I think even more so after he released “charged up,” that was pretty much laughed at.

I agree with you 100% re: infrared not being a true diss track, it's more speaking on the whole YM situation than drake specifically. But I felt like everyone was talking about how infrared was weak as a diss is what I meant, there was def no one trashing the album itself.

Maybe I'm misremembering the meek situation @Poohdini but I just remember people instantly checking wikipedia and seeing QM's name in the credits and saying meek f----- up. People were obviously clowning drake (myself included) but I don't remember anyone here gassing meek besides @Soldier. I'd legit never listened to a meek mill album at that point lol.

It's not bad, probably his worst since More Life but it rides in the whip.

He's been too calculated in his career to just label it a coincidence. I don't think he'd engage in full on beef with anybody if he didn't know/believe he could win. Meek was a peer so I don't think he ever doubted himself in that situation. He grew up a huge Clipse and Pusha fan so he's not dancing with Push unless he's got the ammo required.
I'm just talking from a pure rapping perspective with Meek. I don't think any unbiased person thought Drake could win a battle with him.

@Poohdini @Enigma I guess my point is: while everyone has loved to clown drizzy since the wheelchair jimmy days, he's so big he usually has a fan brigade come to his defense, and it's just surprising to see the majority of them silent.

Take twitter and social media out of it. Maybe @Boos @Soldier can help me out but I don't think anybody believed Drake was gonna outrap Meek.

drake is so much bigger than meek it was impossible to consider him the underdog regardless of who can rap better

Definitly thought Meek was gonna come prepared after charged up, which was sort of a light jab, but then Meek put out that garbage response that was totally underwhelming. Then I thought, well it's only the first diss he's probably saving the good stuff, to which drake dropped b2b and made a diss record the hottest song out. Then Meek blew it in a super embarrassing manner with his next response. At that point though, it was was over after B2B. Meek dropped War Cry later, which was awesome, but it's like Embiid going after Baynes on twitter after he already won. Looking back on it, Meek was heavily drugged up during that time by his own admission, but I defintely thought meek was gonna hold it down and at least leave the beef even.

True lol. Idk me and Has thought Meek was gonna body him with that 1st track especially after Charged Up, but he wasn't ready.
Nobody's arguing Drake isn't bigger. But if you took a poll of who you thought would win that beef before any track dropped, especially after the ghost writing rumors, a majority of the people would pick Meek.

Meek came up in Philly in the battle rap scene. Went on twitter talking about people writing his verses. Like I was telling @Big Cuntry in the long run his career would be fine and most likely not affected, but I wasn't even sure if he was going to win that beef.
