Apr 11, 2017 hopefully your fraud of a team can make it to the ECF so we'll play each other @redsoxx i know your bruins are past prime and have nothing of note in the pipeline, so i prob won't see the bruins in the finals for a minute. but see you in the ECF
Apr 11, 2017 Yea i'm the guy with the realistic expectations for my team. We'll be lucky to get to the ECF and the B's will be lucky to get past Ottawa. The Pats on the other hand are already waiting in Minnesota for whoever comes out of the NFC. I wish we could win all the championships, but it just isn't realistic.
Apr 11, 2017 There's a team or 2 every year that people get excited about and think they'll knock off the cavs or heat, whichever Bron is on at the time. Used to be the bulls and pacers, lately it's been the raptors. In the end the result is always the same. I will say though I never really believed those other teams had a legit shot in previous years but this year it at least seems possible, mainly cuz the cavs don't seem as good and haven't been consistent at all really. Still not confident any team in the east would knock em off in a series though.
Apr 11, 2017 you're talking to someone who followed a basement team for 11 straight seasons, hoping that every high pick we had would turn the organization around (starting with sam gagner). i'm not sure what realistic expectations are in sports. but i know when you go around saying that the oilers will finally make the playoffs this season despite every analyst saying we lost the hall trade, and we're only going to land 9-10th in the west, clinching felt so much better. so idk about realistic expectations, but the raps are going in red hot, and will hopefully meet a dysfunctional cavs team in round 2. we took them to 6 last year with a much worse team (and they were better than they are now), so going on a limb and saying we'll beat them this year isn't a stretch. raps are the best team in the east since the ASG, that's just a fact.
Apr 11, 2017 cavs have lebron (the greatest player of all time) having a historic season, and they're still losing games by 20. bron f----- up the cavs tho, loooool, all his friends got paid and now they have to live with all of the holes they have (ability to defend namely). i hope he leaves for the spurs next season. and real talk, raps beating the cavs in round 2 is the only scenario that i can for sure see lebron leaving cleveland next year, and i would like to see that organization never win a game again.
Apr 11, 2017 Bron doesn't give a s--- bout the regular season anymore though, so that doesn't really matter.
Apr 11, 2017 my entire post is about the cavaliers as a team. i couldn't knock lebron's game this season if i wanted. his numbers will be up in the playoffs as they always are, but that team still looks too flawed to win this year. if anyone is going to take them out, i'd rather it be the raps
Apr 11, 2017 lol man I REALLY wouldn't get my hopes up. The regular season means absolutely nothing. And thats why the Celtics despite being held down with injuries for a good part of the year are about to be the #1 seed. Lebron will do what he always does and take over when it matters. Hate to burst your bubble lol btw was not at any point talking about Edmonton
Apr 11, 2017 i was just painting optimism vs realism as a sports fan, saying the former is a lot more gratifying first post in this thread says i'm cementing an L. which means, i get that we're not the favourites to win, but bumping this thread after we do will feel pretty great.
