If Yelawolf and Eminem didn't like it, would you change your opinion?

Definitely wanna check this out, wish it was in IMAX or something since I heard it's a really beautiful movie but don't think it's showing in IMAX over here at least.

I really don't get how people say this is slow or just decent? Maybe towards the beginning its a little slow but for the most part this was an attention grabber I really liked this movie more than I thought I would which is saying a lot since my expectations where high for a movie with Leo and Tom

I haven't but I've heard mix reactions I haven't heard its good or anything just either bad/boring or okay I don't mind a slow movie at all but for some reason I don't think I'd like it did you?
    1) Mad Max Fury Road (favorite movie in gerneal I'm a sucker for the series has sentimantal value)
    2) The Revenant
I'm not sure about third maybe Ant Man that was a great movie. I didn't like the new Star Wars all that much but I'm confident the next one will be much better. I also liked The Gift but none of these movies really seem like top 3 material. Coming into this year there was a lot of movies I was looking forward to mainly super hero movies but all the trailers have let me down big time. The new Deadpool movie comes out this next month I think so I'm hoping that will start off the year good.

    great insight on those films

I loved Hateful 8 actually, probably in my top 5 of the year.. it's vintage Q.T.. 95% of his films are filled with long dialogue..lol

I enjoyed the new star wars as well; I just felt it brought back what was missing from the prequels.. looking forward to episode IX as well

Mad Max was just great fun; I'm glad it has 10 nominations at the oscars

    my top 5

    1. The Revenant
    2. Ex Machina
    3. Hateful Eight
    4. Mad Max : Fury Road
    5. Crimson Peak

There's some great ones I left off the top 5.. my list's are always interchangeable so..lol

    but great choices though man

I need to watch it it just doesn't seem as appealing as his other movies but I'm sure I'll like it he admittedly makes great films no denying that

Yeah The Force Awakens is without a doubt my favorite in the series it just fell a little flat for me
I didn't like Ex Machina but I do think I need to re watch it since everyone loved it I'll check out Crimson peak too

Finally caved and wrote my against-common-opinion review of The Revenant.

    [REVIEW] 60/100 - The Revenant (Innaritu, 2015)

Like Birdman before it, this beautifully shot and highly sensationalized film captivates in the moment but disappears into soulless immemory shortly after the curtains close. With each feature film, Innaritu has become more arrogant and mean-spirited, with little love for his characters and even less on screen. For what may appear a humanist tale, the Revenant is far from being humanist. It is Innaritu’s latent sadism become manifest as a perverse, horror-bordering, manipulation of the ego. The men, both white and native, are transformed into blood-lusting savages, an expression of Innaritu’s perverse way of seeing life. The Revenant is not about life or about revenge. It is anti-life and it is anti-human.

Yeah I don't understand how anyone could say this is boring in any sense of the word. This had my attention the whole two and a half hours. This was a really great movie, and it's RT score doesn't do it justice in my eyes. I didn't really realize it until the third act, but this must be Leo's quietest role to date. He's by himself for a lot of the film. Amazing that even through his frequent silence, he still grabs your attention and is looking like the front runner for that elusive Oscar.

Also, as good as Leo was in this role....Hardy f---ing killed it man. Such an amazing performance. Not quite sure why, but any time Hardy was on screen, all I could think was "d--- he looks like Christian Bale right here." or "Bale would have killed this too."

The end was absolutely fantastic and was exceptionally shot and acted out by these guys. Just a great f---ing film. One of the best if not the best of the year.

Overall, I'd probably give this movie an 9.1/10. If this doesn't get Leo an Oscar then I'm not sure what will.

Finally saw it last night and I liked it but wasn't blown away or anything, it was basically what I expected based off the reviews and what others said.
