    What's your favorite slipknot album? I only heard a few of their songs but never an album so I wouldn't mind checking them out

    Also we had a conversation in a different thread about Paramore and I'm listening through their discog again and I was wondering what your ranking of their albums would be

    f--- man the evolution of slipknot and their albums is pretty drastic IMO, you have the first two which are heavy as f--- especially Iowa. Those albums are very intense and angry and in your face just a big "f--- you if you don't like me/horror metal/edgy metal" but then you have vol 3 and all hope is gone which was when they some what left that style and lyrics behind for a more mainstream sound. Then the gray chapter is more traditional metal but still feels like a slipknot album then there's the recent one which is hard to describe because for some reason they did something to where even people who hated them liked this album I wish I could go more in depth about this but it's hard when taking care of a baby. I'll link a couple of my favs from each album see if that possibly does anything for you but in the end I would say if you enjoy/open to that kind of music slipknot is the best for a reason.

    Paramore I would honestly say IMO each album was slightly worst than the last with the first being their best work IMO just love that real rock/emo feel they had in their earlier work

    Dope this was definitely more in depth than I thought it would be so thanks! I might have to get to these songs tomorrow but I'll let you know what i think whenever I do get around to all of them!

    Slipknot is for sure my favorite but Manson as far as a person and artist is on another level he's the definition of a man really being his art. The amount of self hatred and self destruction in him is off the charts early Manson pre drug addiction I'm just going to throw my life away was a genius of a person. Watch any interview with him and you could tell he was intelligent as f--- knew he was pushing buttons ready for people to attack so he could shut them up. I know talking positively about him lately has been looked down on but the s--- that has come out about him has always been known he's never hid who he was which was a huge piece of s--- but truly a one of a kind artist.

    Big loss in the metal community but it's nice to see everyone come together and embrace him as a drummer. Slipknot was a gate way for so many people into metal that was more heavy and aggressive then traditional rock. Slipknot in a lot of ways is the Eminem of rock as in a huge part of metal listeners think of slipknot as cringe and are embarrassed by the fact they were ever a huge fan of them. I'm sure this is a big loss to the band even though he hasn't been apart of the band for some time.
