@rapmusik @lilgriffey84 and whoever else, let's take it here so we don't hijack deadpool's thread lol.

Anyways @rapmusik what's that theory of yours?

posted in the other thread but here it is

anyway, my theory is that detective matthews basically caused everything. he falsely arrested amanda, who became a junkie in prison. then her addiction caused her to get her friend to rob that clink that jigsaw's wife worked at. that ended up with jigsaw's unborn baby being killed (from the door incident).. which further inspired jigsaw to "test" amanda's friend (cecil) in that knife trap in saw IV. and then the rest is history. sorry if that doesn't make much sense. I'm not the greatest at explaining.

I feel like a total fanboy tbh

The first is pretty great. Especially for a low budget film.
Tobin Bell was perfectly casted as well.
The second is still passable. The rest got out of hand.
    Recommend fans watch this:

s--- man I'd love if they came up with something like that to keep the series going, it makes some sense. I'd have to go back and watch a few things to see if it all adds up.

But to answer your question in the other thread about the name of the board, I'm pretty sure it was house of jigsaw but can't remember for sure..Did you visit there too?

Also I don't know if you or anyone else heard this but one thing I saw on that board is that they were planning on doing a saw 7 and 8 but since saw 6 didn't do well at the box office, they ended up just finishing it off at 7. I saw an interview with someone involved with the movies who explained what they were planning on doing with saw 7 and 8 and holy s--- it was so much better. I wish I could remember what it was and have tried to find it a few times since but no luck..Anyone know what I'm talking about by chance? I feel saw 7 wasn't nearly as good cuz of this..

Also I know the common opinion is saw 1 and 2 were good but after that it got bad..I don't agree with that, saw 3 was great and the story throughout the series was what kept most fans interest. It's the casual fans and other people who were into saw for the traps or whatever that apparently got disappointed.

I'll have more to add later lol, I love this series. Do you guys agree that it was stupid that
they killed both Amanda and Jigsaw in saw 3? I mean jigsaw was on his death bed so it made sense, but Amanda could have been involved for another movie or 2 and I thought she was great in saw 3.

they did that (in your spoiler) because saw III was supposed to be the last one. but since it was a smash (money wise) they ordered more films, up to saw 9. but then after saw 6 (which was fantastic) didn't do well at the box office, they cancelled 8 and 9 and threw both plots into saw 7. which is why it seems a bit rushed.

yeah I posted on house of jigsaw actually. can't remember my account name for the life of me though. probably something as s-----y as my old SL name.

tbh I hope they do come back for at least one more film. lots of unanswered questions, even in the last film. the two pig mask guys have no identities aside from speculation.

my bad @CharlieWork didn't mean to quote you

Lots of movies are shot in Toronto. It's a great location because the city gives out permits and there are tax breaks I think.

and yeah I read about that too. the original writers said if they get any idea they are confident in then they'll come back. one can hope :drake3:

I read a few things one of them being that they were doing to add onto it and another that they were possibly thinking of a reboot into a trilogy. I hope they just add onto it and not reboot it. would kind of ruin the series imo

yeah you can't really reboot the saw franchise... hardcore fans would bash it hard (myself included) since they're bound to f--- it up. we need at least one more movie to tie up all loose ends. at LEAST

Oh d--- they were planning 8 and 9 too? For some reason I thought I heard it was just up to 8, that really sucks they cancelled it after 6 didn't do so well. I feel partially responsible since that's the only one I didn't see in theaters lol.

Also I didn't know they were originally gonna end it after 3 but that makes sense then as to why they did that. I read some theories on the pig mask guys and most people seemed to think it was the 2 characters in the opening scene of that movie. I guess that could make sense but only if they invent a new story with them, they were brand new unknown characters so I'd prefer if at least one of them was a character that fans already knew.

IMDB already has a page for saw 8 but I can't find anything about it being official. One of the posts on the message board says lionsgate is working on it but no one seems to know for sure..f--- I want another one so bad but the more time that goes by, the less hopeful I am that it'll happen.

By the way did any of you see saw again in theaters this past year on halloween? They had a 10th anniversary thing where it was being re shown in some theaters, I decided to go mainly just to support the idea of a new saw movie lol.

    toughie.

maybe the acid one in saw VI. that ending was phenomenal. the score and the flashbacks really tied the scene up. plus the trap itself was neat. tbh he coulda just moved aside a bit but oh well lol.

I also thought the pendulum and ice block ones were cool.

Yeah I'd probably say the carousel one too, that was awesome lol. I also liked the knife trap that Cecil had and the speech Jigsaw gave him before that. The pendulum trap was cool too even if it was fairly basic, also I like the reverse bear trap especially how they brought it back for saw 6 and 7. I guess that was more of a nostalgia thing though lol.

they didn't do the 10th anniversary thing here. I was so disappointed.

yeah the 2 characters in the public trap as the pig mask guys kind of almost a little bit makes sense, but I see no motivation for it. i wanna know wtf happened to gordon's wife and kid. if they do one more movie, hoffman gotta break his foot out like matthews did lol. need some back and forth s--- between the two characters. might be interesting

Yep if they did an 8th one, I figure Hoffman vs. Gordon would have to be a big part of it. I can't remember but what was the last thing we saw with his wife and kid? I know it was in the original and nothing since, but can't remember exactly even though I've seen the movie probably 10 times lol. I sort of assumed they were dead but didn't give it much thought tbh.

You're right there'd be no motivation for those 2 being involved, they'd have to totally invent a backstory there which could be done.

Hoffman's a clever b------, he could definitely find a way out of that. Hoffman was great in 6 and 7 by the way, didn't like him as much before that.
