Well d--- that doesn't sound good at all...I hope they don't just basically recreate the same idea and start a brand new story with new characters, that'd be kinda lame. If you don't wanna bring back Amanda and John cuz they've been dead since saw 3, then fine I can understand that (though I'd at least like to see them in a brief flashback), but if they don't bring back Gordon and Hoffman, who quite frankly the story should be centered around then yes I'd be very f---in worried..

Man that's disappointing if true, but I guess looking at the quote again now he could just mean establishing new characters/story while also continuing the past one? I don't know..

I guess on a positive note, we do know from that photo that leaked, that they were digging up someone's grave (we assume John), so that means they at least reference him and some part of that story so that's a good sign.

I added a quick edit to that last post before you saw it, but basically I was saying the photo that leaked gives us hope that John will be involved somehow since someone's digging up a grave, which we assume is his grave.

Also I don't know about Hoffman being dead, after he escaped that reverse bear trap at the end of saw 6, I could see him escaping being locked in the bathroom somehow too. In fact I'd love if the start of the new movie is Hoffman in the bathroom showing how he gets out, a Hoffman/Gordon story would be cool I think.

Yeah I have no idea when the new movie would take place, my guess would be shortly after the last one ended..But if they go with some brand new story then who knows.

Not confirmed, but we got some cast info.

According to bloody-disgusting Josiah Black (Kindergarten Cop 2, Ted 2) might have a role in Saw 8: Legacy while Alex Armbruster (X-Men: Days of Future Past, RoboCop, Carrie, Suicide Squad) is rumored to be his stund double. Still no word on Cary Elwes, Tobin Bell, Shawnee Smith, Betsy Russel and Costas Mandylor.

I wanna say he might have compared some defense to saw traps or something like that, but that might just be a wild guess, not sure. Solo said saw 2 specifically so that makes me think this guess is wrong lol.

There's a better version in a Sports Illustrated that I have some where but I found the same anecdote from Halloween weekend 2005 right before Kobe began the best individual season of all-time.

A videotape informs him that his only hope of survival is to use a scalpel to extract the device’s key from behind his right eye within 60 seconds. But the man can’t bring himself to use it, and it kills him.

Bryant doesn’t hesitate. He could get the key, he said.

“There’s no doubt in his mind or mine, to be honest, that he could take that scalpel and cut his eye out,” Vitti said.

Saw this on a saw message board, it's supposedly all the info we have so far about the new movie. Obviously a lot of it's not confirmed, but some interesting stuff.

- Will be directed by Michael and Peter Spierig.
- Will be written by Pete Goldfinger and Josh Stolberg.
- Will be released in October 27, 2017.
- Tobin Bell has been spotted onset while filming, which pretty much confirms that he will be reprising his role as Jigsaw.
- Part of the plot will involve someone digging up Jigsaw's grave.
- Since Tobin Bell is returning, that pretty much confirms that this won't be a reboot, but a direct sequel.
- An actor named Matt Passmore will be in it, possibly as a main character.
- Apparently there will be a game inside an abandoned warehouse, involving 4 motorcycles and cars with spike strips crashing.
- An actor by the name of Josiah Black will be in it.
- Saw 3d actors Jon Cor and Christinr Simpson will return.
- The movie's main plot will take place in a barn.

Awesome if it's true about Tobin back, figured he would be anyways. Abandoned warehouse and a barn for 2 potential setting locations, I guess that's alright with me.

Also I assume those 2 saw3D actors that are returning are the 2 that survived the trap at the start of the movie? If so to me that means there's a very good chance those 2 are also the 2 in the pig masks with Gordon at the end, many expected/thought that'd be the case anyways.

Gotta go back and watch these from 1 to 7 sometime, might get started on that this weekend even. Hope I can find all my DVDs still.
